Synopsis An Imbalance Of Power by : Y. M. Roger
Francesca Pyretti leads a secluded and extremely guarded life with her mathematics and her waitressing it seems the female genius has a very volatile temper and an innate ability to burn things: doors; walls; people. Burn them badly. But, this afternoon, she will meet Realm Lord Belshazzar Chaldean, and the chemistry between the two of them is enough to change not only their lives but the fabric of Creation. Forever. For, although she does not know it yet, Francesca has a place of belonging in the Immortal Realms of Creation of which Lord Chaldean rules the Earth and Sky specifically at His side as His Lady. But why would an all-powerful, immortal Lord be so taken by the scared yet dangerous Francesca? And why would she feel safe for the first time in her life in the arms of such an obviously predatoral and possessive Lord? Whatever the reasons, Lord Chaldean has Marked Francesca as His, and the Power of The Netherworlds will be the spoils in a battle between two Realm Lords that would possess she whom Belshazzar has claimed. But, it is a battle that will test the will not only of the Lords of each Realm, but the strengths of their Firsts as well as the bonds that create the fabric of each Realm. And it is a battle that no matter the victor can only result in An Imbalance of Power between all of the Realms and the remaining Lords that comprise Creation itself.

Synopsis My People Are Rising by : Aaron Dixon
The founder of the Black Panther Party’s Seattle chapter recounts his life on the frontlines of the Black Power Revolution. Growing up in Seattle in the 1960s, Aaron Dixon dedicated himself to the Civil Rights movement at an early age. As a teenager, he joined Martin Luther King on marches to end housing discrimination and volunteered to help integrate schools. After King’s assassination in 1968, Dixon continued his activism by starting the Seattle chapter of the Black Panther Party at the age of nineteen. In My People Are Rising, Dixon offers a candid account of life in the Black Panther Party. Through his eyes, we see the courage of a generation that stood up to injustice, their political triumphs and tragedies, and the unforgettable legacy of Black Power. “This book is a moving memoir experience: a must read. The dramatic life cycle rise of a youthful sixties political revolutionary, my friend Aaron Dixon.” —Bobby Seale, founding chairman and national organizer of the Black Panther Party, 1966 to 1974

Synopsis Art and Children by : Robin Works Davis
Art and literature are essential components of a child's education that encourage creativity, self-expression, and abstract, critical thinking. These skills, in turn, help a child excel in math, science, reading, and drama. However, traditional educational settings often destroy a child's innate self-esteem and creativity. Art and Children is an indispensable aid to educators and librarians interested in helping young children achieve their artistic and creative potential. This teaching aid provides thematic, unit-based activities that use art and literature to develop skills such as interpretation, self-expression, critical thinking, experiential learning, and problem solving. Accompanied by numerous examples, it offers step-by-step suggestions on how to plan, implement, and present these units and their related activities. Addresses of art suppliers are also provided.

Synopsis Jail Time by : Michael Frantz
Jai l Time, What you need to know... ...Before you go to federal pr i son Jail Time was a book I never wanted to write. Federal Prison was a place I never wanted to be. Sometimes things just happen that you really can't explain or even know why they happened. They just do. Life is funny that way- one day you are on top of the world and the next day you're in a bottomless pit-you think. But later you discover that the pit's bottom is even deeper. There are many challenges facing those individuals entering federal prison. These challenges are not easy, but they are controllable. Controllable, if you have the proper knowledge, resources, and motivation. The motivation is to get home to your family as soon as possible. This is where Jail Time can help. Jail Time offers solutions to the problems that men and women facing federal incarceration are confronted with. Jail Time provides a wealth of information to help families get through their ordeal together and get the offender back home in the shortest possible amount of time. Born into an impoverished and broken family in Ohio, Michael Frantz studied diligently and graduated with honors from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He continued his studies and earned a post graduate degree from Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy with highest honors. With little or no money he started his own home medical equipment business in 1980 and grew it in sales to over $7,000,000 a year. At the height of his business he had six locations in five different Ohio cities. In October of 2002 the FBI raided all six of his stores in what was to become a two year legal and emotional nightmare. They alleged Medicare and tax fraud. In 2004 Mr. Frantz reluctantly accepted a plea agreement and was eventually sentenced in July of 2005 to 51 months in the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Miami, Florida. He spent nearly 16 months there. Later he was transferred to the adjacent low security Federal Correctional Institution (FCI). In 2008, he won his appeal and was released from federal prison on July 18, 2008 after serving nearly 36 months in federal confinement. This, as he likes to say, was a life and career changing experience.
