Synopsis You Are My Favorite Color by : Gillian Sze
A lyrical story of parental love that celebrates and takes pride in the many shades of brown skin. Perfect for fans of I Am Enough, Hey Black Child, Hair Love, and Our Skin. When you ask me why your skin is brown, I will tell you that you are my favorite color. I will say that your skin was decided long, long ago. Time was just waiting for you. So begins a mother’s celebration of her children's brown skin, told through warm and vivid poetry. With sweeping descriptions of what brown skin means—it is the brawny bear whose paws know the ground of its home, the sequoia tree that reaches up and touches the sun, the glossy shell of roasted chestnuts—this is a book that empowers as it embraces, and that reminds young readers that they have shades of color that only they can discover and express. With beautiful, lyrical text by powerhouse poet Gillian Sze and vibrant, engaging art by illustrator Nina Mata, the #1 New York Times bestselling illustrator of LeBron James's I Promise, this is more than a story of love—it is a song that rings out for brown kids everywhere. Praise for You Are My Favorite Color: "This is a sweet, languorous celebration of brown skin in all its infinite shades and of multiracial, multifaceted families. Lovely." --Kirkus Reviews

Synopsis by : Henry F. Tyler
The Teenage Mafia is an extraordinary, breathtaking, and unpredictable story. Most of the action will catch you off guard. There is not another story like it. Read and follow the crew on their havoc causing journey, from assaulting and robbing people randomly to beefing with each other. Steven and Lewis are teenagers who took the wrong exit to make their dreams come true. Steven was willing to do anything to get his parents into a better house. Lewis was willing to do anything to get away from his parents. Lewis's father abused him mentally and physically. Lewis and his family shared a very dark secret. Steven and Lewis realized their goals could not get accomplished with just the two of them. Steven and Lewis recruited four other students from their school, Eric, James, Willie and Johnny. Along the way, Steven found himself making most of the important decisions for the crew. Eric is a wimpy nerd; he tried his best to toughen up his image. Eric's sex addiction led him into a love triangle with two prostitutes. James had a gambling problem. He went from losing to winning. His attitude changed for the worst, making him hard to get along with. His greed outweighed the rest of The Teenage Mafia member's greed. Willie and Johnny were stars on their school's football team with hopes of playing college football. The two first cousins were feared tremendously by other students. Will The Teenage Mafia pull together and make things work or will they fold under pressure?

Synopsis Guilty by Association by : Pat Simmons
Boston bad boy Kevin "Kidd" Jamieson has a gripe with his father who dared to insist that his two illegitimate sons carry his last name. To add insult to injury, the man never bothered to stick around to provide the love and guidance as his boys matured into men. Kidd's anger overflows into every area of his life. As his animosity festers, Kidd becomes as a roaring lion, seeking whatever and whomever he can devour. He's as gritty as his cousin in St. Louis, Parke Jamieson VI, is polished. The two strong-willed men clash when Kidd relocates to St. Louis where his cousin assures him it's a land of milk and money in job opportunities. Where he lands a position is far from a Promised Land. Through a series of events that involve Grandma BB, her dog named Silent Killer and her Stacy Adams shoes, Kidd meets two women who recognize his hostile tendencies and immediately begin to administer CPR to his soul. LPN Eva Savoy eventually becomes his "Eve," a woman God created from the underlying goodness hidden in Kidd's own heart. Reluctantly, Kidd allows Parke to divulge information about their royal family heritage. While everyone's care and compassion begins to smother Kidd, he struggles to keep up the bad boy attitude as his walls start to crumble. Kidd learns it's not his association with the name that identifies him, but the man he becomes that defines him. Synopsis Wisps of Smoke by : Kotra Siva Rama Krishna
After her marriage with the almost fifty years aged guy Sahay, the twenty four years aged Mayuri thought her challenge was only to make her step-children Sameera and Pradeep amicable and friendly with her. The two things which she did not expect to happen but have taken place were; her feeling love towards her husband abundantly and her overwhelming grateful feeling and pity towards the insane first wife of her husband Niyoja. When her step-daughter Sameera also started behaving mad just like her mother while Mayuri was trying to find ways to make Niyoja sane, Mayuri’s belief that the bad angel Amsara was behind the misfortune of her husband has been strengthened even more. Against the strong confirmation of the psychiatrist Devayani who was the sister of her husband and treating Sameera and her mother that there is never any paranormal, not to say a bad angel like Amsara, Mayuri started trying to find a paranormal solution to the problem. Her going to Obbera, a small village in the very corner of the country where adoring bad angels is the main activity of the villagers; was only to follow a paranormal solution suggested by Palamita who knew about Amsara to cure her step-daughter. Whether offering herself at Amsara has become successful and cured her step-daughter or not is the main story of this novel. Along with this main story, the romance and love of her step-children, her own sister and other characters linked with these characters make the whole story of this novel.
