Synopsis Loving Wisdom by : Paul Copan

A guide to Christian philosophy that engages with the biblical story As human beings, we all qualify as philosophers, and Paul Copan contends that we take a position of trust (faith) shaped by philosophical stances but also personal heart commitments (worldviews). In this thoroughly revised and expanded second edition of Loving Wisdom, Copan explores philosophy of religion from a distinctively evangelical Christian perspective—biblically grounded, informed by apologetics, and engaging with questions about universal human longings. Copan presents a distinctively and deliberately biblical philosophy of religion in Loving Wisdom, addressing a wide range of topics and questions as they arise in the metanarrative of scripture. He acknowledges the difficulties, mystery, and disagreements in “religion,” while attempting to show how the Christian faith does a much more adequate job of responding to a wide range of challenges as well as addressing our deepest human yearnings. With discussion questions for each chapter and an accessible approach, Loving Wisdom is ideal for the classroom or small groups.

Synopsis Philosophy and Salvation by : Carlos Blanco

The idea of "salvation" tends to be interpreted as an exclusively religious category. The author of this essay believes that philosophy, the quintessence of human thinking, possesses a salvific power, as it offers the possibility of broadening the horizons of humanity, leading us out of the oppressive limits of our "hic et nunc." However, philosophical salvation needs to be found in time and space. The edification of a society based upon the ideal of solidarity, in which history may be meaningful for everyone, is its preeminent manifestation.

Project funding suddenly terminated left them without an money and supplies needed to operate their homes, projects and services. in some ways and returns to his own world. The Company began the mission from rumor. It was past two thirty a.m., when the helicopter made an approach for a landing on the high mountain plateau. The June sun lay just below the lighted horizon on the mountain peaks to the east. The new moon had grown pale and white in the light of early dawn. When they came closer, I could see that she had green eyes that sparkled unusually bright. “I made the recording for the security system at your suggestion, father,” she replied quickly. For some reason I felt relief knowing the older gentleman was her father. He said. “Are you interested in the whole story?” “Well, yes, I answered. I am interested in the unique aspects of the project.” That is what the captain wanted, the whole story, if there was a story. I had a duty to perform and I owed my loyalty to the company. It was not my place to make any judgments. I intuitively felt certain the project people were not subversive. “Project-H is unique of all government projects. Research involves electricity of every kind and no other kind of energy.” The project leader said.
