Synopsis Winter Moon by : Dean Koontz
"Koontz is brilliant in the creation of his characters and in building tension." CHICAGO SUN-TIMES In Los Angeles, a hot Hollywood director, high on PCP, turns a city street into a fiery apocalypse. Heroic LAPD officer Jac McGarvey is badly wounded and will not walk for months. His wife and his child are left to fend for themselves against both criminals that control an increasingly violent city and the dead director's cult of fanatic fans. In a lonely corner of Montana, Eduardo Fernandez, the father of McGarvey's murdered partner, witnesses a strange nocturnal sight. The stand of pines outside his house suddenly glows with eerie amber light, and Fernandez senses a watcher in the winter woods. As the seasons change, the very creatures of the forest seem in league with a mysterious presence. Fernandez is caught up in a series of chilling incidents that escalate toward a confronation that could rob him of his sanity or his life--or both. As events careen out of control, the McGarvey family is drawn to Fernandez's Montana ranch. In that isolated place they discover their destiny in a terrifying and fiercely suspenseful encounter with a hostile, utterly ruthless, and enigmatic enemy, from which neither the living nor the dead are safe. BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Dean Koontz's The City.

Synopsis The Sharp Time by : Mary O'Connell
In the aftermath of her mother's tragic death, a newly independent and unstable teenage girl finds small measures of happiness even as she plots an act of lethal revenge on an abusive teacher. Sandinista Jones is a high school senior with a punk rock name and a broken heart. The death of her single mother has left Sandinista alone in the world, subject to the random vulnerability of everyday life. When the school system lets her down, her grief and instability intensify, and she ponders a violent act of revenge. Still, in the midst of her crisis, she gets a job at The Pale Circus, a funky vintage clothing shop, and finds friendship and camaraderie with her coworker, a boy struggling with his own secrets. Even as Sandinista sees the failures of those with power and authority, she's offered the chance to survive through the redemptive power of friendship. Now she must choose between faith and forgiveness or violence and vengeance. "Palpable grief plus irreverent humor equal one extraordinary debut novel." --Kirkus Reviews, Starred "The book takes place over the course of a week, but there are so many thoughtfully drawn characters and intense emotions that it reads like a small lifetime." --Booklist, Starred "O’Connell shows exceptional skill in building tension and creating atmosphere" --Publishers Weekly, Starred "Brilliant lyrical prose, clever banter, distinctive characters, and suspenseful plotting combine for a winning debut novel." --VOYA

Synopsis Love by : Dr. Syed Mohammad Waris
Love – Havoc in the Heart is a collection of poems and quotes. We shall confine ourselves to the critique of feelings and emotions that poetry is a toss of imagination and, to some high-browed critics, is the summum bonum of poetic art. We shall look at the Quotes part of this booklet too but only express our opinion regarding the poetic form and also about how this formalisation is genuine. Love is an intense emotion that grips humans more than it does any other creature. Its forms are many and varied, also in terms of intensity and seriousness, more so when it is taken as a concept that religionists and mystics use to measure their involvement in it. The intensity of Dr. Waris’s verse depends upon what kind of love he has been obsessed with. He sings with the instruments of figurative language, escaping the gaze of the keepers of society, which Freud calls the ‘Superego’. In authoritarian societies, to avoid public observation, such methods of singing love are not rare; are, however, intensified by the pain, wriggle and fierce tears which pour from the eyes of a sensitive but fragile lover! Reading such verses are a common man’s job now because love grips more today than in the past, although the love that grips is not seen and evaluated that high browed and divinely purposive.
