Synopsis Who Is the Devil? Elijah Muhammad V. Brother Polight by : Abena Kaashe
This work is a comparative study of the philosophies of two great minds- The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Nysut Amun-Re Sen Atum-Re. Although they are generations apart, these men represent genius and leadership in their own right. Is the devil a person, a spirit, a flaw in the character of man or is the devil a systematic scheme that has been organized to usurp our energy away from our priorities? Can the devil be reformed, defeated or combated? Or maybe it's time that he is completely destroyed? Perhaps determining the devil's identity is not as important as knowing his methodology and devising a plan that counters his actions. Instead of playing tic tac toe with this it's time to play chess and master monopoly.

Synopsis The Autobiography of Malcolm X by : Malcolm X
Malcolm X's blazing, legendary autobiography, completed shortly before his assassination in 1965, depicts a remarkable life: a child born into rage and despair, who turned to street-hustling and cocaine in the Harlem ghetto, followed by prison, where he converted to the Black Muslims and honed the energy and brilliance that made him one of the most important political figures of his time - and an icon in ours. It also charts the spiritual journey that took him beyond militancy, and led to his murder, a powerful story of transformation, redemption and betrayal. Vilified by his critics as an anti-white demagogue, Malcolm X gave a voice to unheard African-Americans, bringing them pride, hope and fearlessness, and remains an inspirational and controversial figure today.

Synopsis Calvin for the Third Millennium by : Hans Mol
This work is a series of sermons produced by Emeritus Professor Hans Mol, and based on Biblical texts, the Commentaries of John Calvin on these texts, and on Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion. Mol is Australia's pre-eminent scholar in the sociology of religion, particularly in Australia. His 1971 volume, Religion in Australia, was the first attempt at statistical analysis of religion in Australia, which was also internationally significant. Parallel to Mol's interest in the sociology of religion has been his interest in Calvin. Indeed the theological basis of his life has been as a Calvinist. Here in this volume he brings both of these interests together. His sermons, preached over the years in Canberra, seek to apply the teachings of Calvin to a world-view in which the scientific study of religion, and indeed the wider study of sociology, are of central significance. In these sermons, he succeeds considerably in this. The volume is a substantial contribution to scholarship, in that the combination of these two factors has only rarely been attempted. Thus, the volume has originality and will have enduring value. It is especially appropriate that it should be published at this time, in preparation for the 500th Anniversary of Calvin's birth (1509-2009).
