Synopsis We Met Valiant Thor and the Space People by : Helen Mitchell
In this classic of the UFO literature pantheon, Helen and Betty Mitchell are approached by humanoid space aliens at a coffee shop in St. Louis, Missouri in the late 1950s. Taught how to communicate with the Space People from Mars and Venus, they receive messages from their new friends. Finally they are taken on a space ship voyage. This is the account of their experiences and the messages they were given by the aliens: abolish nuclear weapons, create education television programming, and become vegetarians, or possibly face extinction.

Synopsis A Little Piece of Ground by : Elizabeth Laird
A Little Piece Of Ground will help young readers understand more about one of the worst conflicts afflicting our world today. Written by Elizabeth Laird, one of Great Britain’s best-known young adult authors, A Little Piece Of Ground explores the human cost of the occupation of Palestinian lands through the eyes of a young boy. Twelve-year-old Karim Aboudi and his family are trapped in their Ramallah home by a strict curfew. In response to a Palestinian suicide bombing, the Israeli military subjects the West Bank town to a virtual siege. Meanwhile, Karim, trapped at home with his teenage brother and fearful parents, longs to play football with his friends. When the curfew ends, he and his friend discover an unused patch of ground that’s the perfect site for a football pitch. Nearby, an old car hidden intact under bulldozed building makes a brilliant den. But in this city there’s constant danger, even for schoolboys. And when Israeli soldiers find Karim outside during the next curfew, it seems impossible that he will survive. This powerful book fills a substantial gap in existing young adult literature on the Middle East. With 23,000 copies already sold in the United Kingdom and Canada, this book is sure to find a wide audience among young adult readers in the United States.

Synopsis Bringing Columbia Home by : Michael D. Leinbach
Voted the Best Space Book of 2018 by the Space Hipsters The dramatic inside story of the epic search and recovery operation after the Columbia space shuttle disaster. On February 1, 2003, Columbia disintegrated on reentry before the nation’s eyes, and all seven astronauts aboard were lost. Author Mike Leinbach, Launch Director of the space shuttle program at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center was a key leader in the search and recovery effort as NASA, FEMA, the FBI, the US Forest Service, and dozens more federal, state, and local agencies combed an area of rural east Texas the size of Rhode Island for every piece of the shuttle and her crew they could find. Assisted by hundreds of volunteers, it would become the largest ground search operation in US history. This comprehensive account is told in four parts: Parallel Confusion Courage, Compassion, and Commitment Picking Up the Pieces A Bittersweet Victory For the first time, here is the definitive inside story of the Columbia disaster and recovery and the inspiring message it ultimately holds. In the aftermath of tragedy, people and communities came together to help bring home the remains of the crew and nearly 40 percent of shuttle, an effort that was instrumental in piecing together what happened so the shuttle program could return to flight and complete the International Space Station. Bringing Columbia Home shares the deeply personal stories that emerged as NASA employees looked for lost colleagues and searchers overcame immense physical, logistical, and emotional challenges and worked together to accomplish the impossible. Featuring a foreword and epilogue by astronauts Robert Crippen and Eileen Collins, and dedicated to the astronauts and recovery search persons who lost their lives, this is an incredible, compelling narrative about the best of humanity in the darkest of times and about how a failure at the pinnacle of human achievement became a story of cooperation and hope.

Synopsis How to Contact the Space People by : Ted Owens
WAS HE THE VOICE OF 'DOOM' OR THE SOOTHSAYER OF THE SPACE GENERATION? NASA REPORTER OTTO BINDER ASKED THESE PERPLEXING QUESTIONS? Have We Been Sent-And Ignored-Messages From Spacemen? Do The Saucer Intelligences Control Our Weather, Our Civilizations, Our Very Lives With Their Incredible Advanced Science? Has One Man, TED OWENS, Really Been Selected To "Relay" Their Warnings And Predictions? DO WE HAVE IN OUR MIDST A 'SPOKESMAN' FOR THE UFOS? ================================================================ When the original edition of HOW TO CONTACT SPACE PEOPLE appeared in l969 courtesy of Gray Barker's Saucerian Press, hundreds reported "miracles" and supernatural experiences upon carrying or wearing one of the special "Space Intelligence" discs that were provided by Ted Owens . We are producing a similar disc based on the identical design and will include details how you can get one for yourself FREE OF CHARGE as a bonus when ordering this fabulous volume. Says one researcher who calls himself simply "Jinn" and believes the UFOs are extra dimensional: "Many people who investigated Ted Owens testified that he could predict and control lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and volcanoes. He claimed he was in telepathic contact with other dimensional beings he called Space Intelligences who trained him since early childhood to communicate with them and co-create tremendous large scale psychokinetic effects. . . Ted Owens could be the greatest parapsychological finds in history. He performed about 200 "miracles" in association with the SI's. . . and considered himself to be the "Earth ambassador of UFO intelligences" and compared himself to Moses, whom he said also worked with the SI's." Some people thought Owens delusional; others believed something dramatic had happened in his life to cause these telekinetic events to occur around him regularly. Decide for yourself when you order HOW TO CONTACT THE SPACE PEOPLE and learn how at no additional cost you can receive your own energized purple SI disc, an authentic replica of the one Ted Owens claims he used to contact the space intelligence himself without interference.

Synopsis Biologically Inspired Approaches to Advanced Information Technology by : Auke Jan Ijspeert
The evolution of the Internet has led us to the new era of the information infrastructure. As the information systems operating on the Internet are getting larger and more complicated, it is clear that the traditional approaches based on centralized mechanisms are no longer meaningful. One typical example can be found in the recent growing interest in a P2P (peer-to-peer) computing paradigm. It is quite different from the Web-based client-server systems, which adopt essentially centralized management mechanisms. The P2P computing environment has the potential to overcome bottlenecks in Web computing paradigm, but it introduces another difficulty, a scalability problem in terms of information found, if we use a brute-force flooding mechanism. As such, conventional information systems have been designed in a centralized fashion. As the Internet is deployed on a world scale, however, the information systems have been growing, and it becomes more and more difficult to ensure fau- free operation. This has long been a fundamental research topic in the field. A complex information system is becoming more than we can manage. For these reasons, there has recently been a significant increase in interest in biologically inspired approaches to designing future information systems that can be managed efficiently and correctly.

Synopsis Space Cowboy Odyssey by : Thor Weir
This is a true story of 3 youths seeking truth by traveling across America from San Diego to Hope British Columbia by horse. They learned that the horse was the migration of humanity for 1000's of years that seemed to have little affect on their surroundings, but in less than one century they seemed to see a repercussion of events from humanity affecting their surroundings. This is an adventure that transpired for over 3 years of an odyssey of a 2600 mile trek thru the Sierras, Cascades, and along the ocean by horseback in 1970. This was an idea with ambition and will power that showed within these 3 concepts anyone can accomplish their goal, dream, or their wildest desire. It shows concepts of how we can show room for improvement in the world by alternative changes that may be part of the hope and survival of humanity. There is a documentary of the story, and many Newspapers had article of the long ride.
