He feels adrift, alienated from his classmates and even his own family. It's hard enough just being a teenager in a new town, struggling with grades, depression, hostile classmates, and a stepfather bent on making his life hell— Until a violent collision with fate leaves Jimmy bleeding under the light of a Full Moon. Now, Jimmy's entire world is transforming, and his new friends are not what they seem. Adolescence is challenging enough without a mysterious white wolf haunting his dreams, the ability to see and hear the dead, budding shamanic powers, and the soul of a wolf growing inside him. And when catastrophe shatters his world, Jimmy is pitted against the demons of his past, and must embrace his heritage and unravel the prophesies hidden in his dreams. In a race to discover and confront the menace that seeks to destroy everything he loves, Jimmy must draw on every power he has. But will it be enough, or will Jimmy's hidden nemesis kill him first?

Synopsis The Wolf Road by : Beth Lewis
Elka barely remembers a time before she knew Trapper. She was just seven years old, wandering lost and hungry in the wilderness, when the solitary hunter took her in. In the years since then, he’s taught her how to survive in this desolate land where civilization has been destroyed and men are at the mercy of the elements and each other. But the man Elka thought she knew has been harboring a terrible secret. He’s a killer. A monster. And now that Elka knows the truth, she may be his next victim. Armed with nothing but her knife and the hard lessons Trapper’s drilled into her, Elka flees into the frozen north in search of her real parents. But judging by the trail of blood dogging her footsteps, she hasn’t left Trapper behind—and he won’t be letting his little girl go without a fight. If she’s going to survive, Elka will have to turn and confront not just him, but the truth about the dark road she’s been set on. The Wolf Road is an intimate cat-and-mouse tale of revenge and redemption, played out against a vast, unforgiving landscape—told by an indomitable young heroine fighting to escape her past and rejoin humanity.

Synopsis Legends and Lore of South Carolina by : Sherman Carmichael
This new collection of eighty strange and unusual South Carolina legends is rooted in the state's deep history. Some originated centuries ago, such as the Agnes of Glasgow story in Camden and that of the ghostly dwarf jester Gauche, said to haunt a Beaufort mansion. Certain places hold secrets from different eras, including White Wolf Road in Blacksburg and the state's numerous historic cemeteries like the one at Salem Black River Church in Mayesville. These pages also contain simple explanations for local lore, like the Gullah tradition behind blue bottle trees that still decorate Carolina gardens today. These and many more crowd-pleasing yarns can be found in this volume from the desk of master storyteller, author and researcher Sherman Carmichael.

Synopsis Wings of Fortune by : E.A. Chevrette
From the basic fabric covered Cub, to the sleek corporate jet, the author takes you page by page through what some have called “The Golden Age” of general aviation. Meet pilots and share in their camaraderie and humor; experience their tragedy and personal triumph. This is a fascinating real life account of the author’s life as a pilot, and his own personal “wings of fortune.” The thought of writing his personal memoirs proved to be a fascinating and irresistible idea for E.A. Chevrette, Jr.. Starting with the resources available at a public library, he gained computer expertise and knowledge of writing. Combining his determination and information gathered from editors and authors, a very unique book has been written.

Synopsis Dakar, a Wolf's Adventure by : Louis Dorfman
This novel is the story of a wolf named Dakar, written from the animals point of view. The novel chronicles Dakars odyssey across British Columbia, Canada, and into Montana. Dakar is the young son of the wolf pack leader, Torga, and the alpha female of the pack, Tonya. While resting after feeding, the pack becomes the target of illegal poachers looking for a trophy. Dakar saves his mother and siblings and leads the hunters away from the pack while the pack flees to safety. Dakar is wounded during the encounter. Despite injury, Dakar keeps leading the hunters further from the wolf pack and away from his home and family. Soon thereafter he meets a mystical raven named Rahwa. This raven leads Dakar on a journey filled with adventure and surprises to get medical assistance from a strange and unexpected source. Dakar makes unusual and delightful friends along the way and finds that hes able to trust and relate to other animals, as well as other species, besides his wolf pack. Dakar also learns many skills that will serve him well throughout his life. It becomes ever clearer that Rahwa, the raven, is something more than he appears to be. The journey has a very surprising and unexpected ending during which Dakar receives help from unexpected sources, overcomes obstacles he never would have believed he could conquer, and learns a great deal more than he believed he ever would about life and relationships.
