Synopsis WALKING THE NARROW ROAD by : Olivia Olajumoke Adamolekun Young
God’s plan was to send Jesus, “the seed of the woman” promised in Genesis, to this earth in order to bruise the head of the Serpent. And at the fullness of time, Jesus Christ willingly gave up His unique position in heaven to come to earth to die for sinners too powerless to save ourselves. He took slaps, insults, spits and beatings and all indignities from sinners in order to accomplish this great salvation for us. He was nailed to the cross, died, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. And before He gave up His last breath, He declared: “It is finished!” Those three words released all human beings who will accept His sacrifice of love, from bondage to Satan, forever. The curtain in the temple at Jerusalem that separated the holy place from the holy of holies rent in two from top to bottom after His death. This symbolized how His death opened for us direct access to God, the Father. No longer do we need a High Priest to go into the holy of holies **to offer the blood of bulls and goats that can only cover sins for a year. Jesus’ blood shed once and for all has obliterated our sins forever. He is now our Great High Priest in heaven where He offered His blood at God’s mercy seat. The Father was pleased with His perfect work for us and accepted His sacrifice. No wonder John the Baptist introduced the Lord as: “Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.” If you have believed in Christ’s work at Calvary and received Him into your life, confess Him with your mouth, tell people about how your sins are forgiven and who you have become in Christ. Faith in God and in the work of His Son for you is what determines your salvation.

Synopsis Walking the Narrow Road by : Kathleen Cobb
Jeff Lawson is a young man who is confident and sure of what he wants in life until he meets Lisa Byers. Lisa Byers is a young woman who has recently moved away from her family in Clearwater, Florida, to help take care of a deceased Aunt's estate. She meets Jeff in her English class at the Upstate Technical College in Greenville, South Carolina. From his first encounter with Lisa, Jeff's life will never be the same. Jeff is big into the party scene until Lisa helps him realize that God is offering him a better life. Jeff soon discovers that the Christian walk is not always an easy one. Shortly after his conversion, Jeff finds himself in jail for a crime he did not commit. Find out how Lisa helps unravel the mystery that will allow God's ultimate good to triumph. I was born in Waukegan, Illinois, in 1962. I lived in a rural section in the McHenry, Illinois area until 1979, when my family moved to Dunedin, Florida. There I met my husband and was married in August of 1981. I lived in Florida for almost ten years until my husband and I relocated our family to Greer, SC, in 1988. This has been our home for the past 21 years. We have four children and four grandchildren. My life's goal is to glorify God and teach His Word to the lost until Christ returns or until my time on this earth has ended. I understand that without God being the center of my life, all my other accomplishments are meaningless.

Synopsis WEIRD by : Craig Groeschel
"When people describe my lifestyle or family as weird, I find comfort," writes author Craig Groeschel. He then shares a Christ-centered philosophy, on everything from money to scheduling to purity, to help you break out of the normal rut and live according to the rhythms of God’s grace and truth of his word. Normal people are stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted. Many of their relationships are, at best, strained and, in most cases, just surviving. Even though we live in one of the most prosperous places on earth, normal is still living paycheck to paycheck and never getting ahead. In our oversexed world, lust, premarital sex, guilt, and shame are far more common than purity, virginity, and a healthy married sex life. And when it comes to God, the majority believe in him, but the teachings of scripture rarely make it into their everyday lives. Simply put, normal isn't working. Groeschel’s WEIRD will help you break free from the norm to lead a radically abnormal (and endlessly more fulfilling) life.

Synopsis Christian Minimalism by : Becca Ehrlich
"Ehrlich’s insightful self-help guide will resonate with Christians wishing to streamline an overstuffed life."—Publishers Weekly Logically, we all know our purpose in life is not wrapped up in accumulating possessions, wealth, power, and prestige—Jesus is very clear about that—but society tells us otherwise. Christian Minimalism attempts to cut through our assumptions and society’s lies about what life should look like and invites readers into a life that Jesus calls us to live: one lived intentionally, free of physical, spiritual, and emotional clutter. Written by a woman who simplified her own life and practices these principles daily, this book gives readers a fresh perspective on how to live out God’s grace for us in new and exciting ways and live out our faith in a way that is deeply satisfying.

Synopsis A Taste of Grace by : Greg Albrecht
A Taste of Grace is an easy-to-read page-turning exploration of God's amazing grace, demonstrated and illustrated by the teachings of Jesus. A Taste of Grace proclaims God's grace as irreconcilably opposed to the core values and beliefs of institutionalized religion and reveals God's grace to be an absurd and foolish sentiment that doesn't add up to the human mind.

William Scott Wilson, esteemed translator of samurai philosophy, has walked the road several times and is a delightful and expert guide to this popular tourist destination; he shares its rich history and lore, literary and artistic significance, cuisine and architecture, as well as his own experiences.
