John Van Hooser (d.ca. 1763) was probably born before 1700, and emigrated from Holland to western New York in the early 18th century with two brothers. John later moved to Anson County, North Carolina. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Van Hoose, with some spellings of VanHoose and Van Hooser) and relatives lived in New York, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, California and elsewhere. Includes some records and a group photograph of the 1956 VanHoose family reunion.

Richard Daniel Adams was born 14 April 1841 in Floyd County, Kentucky. His parents were Jackson Adams and Nancy Cooper. He married Sarah Caudill, daughter of Abel Caduill and Mary Crace, 4 November 1868 in Magoffin County, Kentucky. They had nine children. He died in 1908. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Kentucky.

Hezekiah Sellards who was probably of Scotch-Irish parentage, came to Pennsylvania in 1732. He migrated to the Shenandoah Valley, then to Walkers Creek, Virginia and died in Kentucky. Descendants lived throughout the United States.
