Synopsis Unheralded Victory by : Mark Woodruff

Along with a half million other young men, Mark Woodruff put his life on the line to serve his country in Vietnam. Like so many others, he returned home to find himself regarded not as a hero but as a humiliating reminder of the only war the United States ever lost. This Marine, however, is determined to set the record straight. Woodruff never wavers from the cold, hard facts in this riveting book. Battle by battle, Unheralded Victory provides incontrovertible proof that the United States won this war, from the vaunted 1968 Tet Offensive–in reality a shattering defeat that decimated the Viet Cong–to Linebacker II, the final knockout blow that forced North Vietnam to the table. Make no mistake: our warriors in Vietnam were victorious. It’s time America sat up and took notice.

Synopsis Facts Need Not Be In Evidence by : Craig Boulton

Illinois congressman Henry Hyde once remarked that after reading Eleanor Roosevelt's editorials in the 1950s, he was driven into the embrace of the Republican Party. Similarly all the liberal talking heads appearing on the cable news channels have driven this longstanding Goldwater Republican to write a response. In it the author describes Republican Values from the perspective of growing up in an entrepreneurial family and his own self-employment in the financial industry. Drawing on his experiences as a Navy Midshipman while attending a private Eastern University during the turbulent 1960s, and then as a Marine combat officer during the Vietnam Era when domestic terrorism was in vogue, he discusses the politically correct's childish behavior from that unique perspective. As a former professional military officer and later a trained economist and financial analyst who's spent three decades successfully anticipating the impact of public policy on the financial markets, the author addresses issues dominating the election of 2004. This includes the politically correct's failure to understand the war on terror, understanding that their rhetoric can best be understood from the perspective of what Stalin called 'social fascism' with the accompanying need to demonize one's opposition.

Synopsis A Raid Too Far by : James H. Willbanks

In February 1971, the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) launched an incursion into Laos in an attempt to cut the Ho Chi Minh Trail and destroy North Vietnamese Army (NVA) base areas along the border. This movement would be the first real test of Vietnamization, Pres. Richard Nixon’s program to turn the fighting over to South Vietnamese forces as US combat troops were withdrawn. US ground forces would support the operation from within South Vietnam and would pave the way to the border for ARVN troops, and US air support would cover the South Vietnamese forces once they entered Laos, but the South Vietnamese forces would attack on the ground alone. The operation, dubbed Lam Son 719, went very well for the first few days, but as movement became bogged down the NVA rushed reinforcements to the battle and the ARVN forces found themselves under heavy attack. US airpower wreaked havoc on the North Vietnamese troops, but the South Vietnamese never regained momentum and ultimately began to withdraw back into their own country under heavy enemy pressure. In this first in-depth study of this operation, military historian and Vietnam veteran James H. Willbanks traces the details of battle, analyzes what went wrong, and suggests insights into the difficulties currently being incurred with the training of indigenous forces.

The Vietnam War was a tragic and dismal failure—at least that is what the mainstream media and history books would have you believe. Yet, Phillip Jennings sets the record straight in The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to the Vietnam War. In this latest “P.I.G.”, Jennings shatters culturally-accepted myths and busts politically incorrect lies that liberal pundits and leftist professors have been telling you for years. The Vietnam War was the most important—and successful—campaign to defeat Communism. Without the sacrifices made and the courage displayed by our military, the world might be a different place. The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to the Vietnam War reveals the truth about the battles, players, and policies of one of the most controversial wars in U.S. history.
