Synopsis Two Types of Single Valued Neutrosophic Covering Rough Sets and an Application to Decision Making by : Jingqian Wang

In this paper, to combine single valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) with covering-based rough sets, we propose two types of single valued neutrosophic (SVN) covering rough set models. Furthermore, a corresponding application to the problem of decision making is presented.

Synopsis A New Type of Single Valued Neutrosophic Covering Rough Set Model by : Jingqian Wang

Recently, various types of single valued neutrosophic (SVN) rough set models were presented based on the same inclusion relation. However, there is another SVN inclusion relation in SVN sets. In this paper, we propose a new type of SVN covering rough set model based on the new inclusion relation.

Synopsis Multigranulation single valued neutrosophic covering-based rough sets and their applications to multi-criteria group decision making by : J. Q. Wang

In this paper, three types of (philosophical, optimistic and pessimistic) multigranulation single valued neutrosophic (SVN) covering-based rough set models are presented, and these three models are applied to the problem of multi-criteria group decision making (MCGDM).

Synopsis A bibliometric analysis of neutrosophic set: two decades review from 1998 to 2017 by : Xindong Peng

Neutrosophic set, initiated by Smarandache, is a novel tool to deal with vagueness considering the truth-membership T, indeterminacy-membership I and falsity-membership F satisfying the condition 0 ≤ T + I + F ≤ 3. It can be used to characterize the uncertain information more sufficiently and accurately than intuitionistic fuzzy set. Neutrosophic set has attracted great attention of many scholars that have been extended to new types and these extensions have been used in many areas such as aggregation operators, decision making, image processing, information measures, graph and algebraic structures.

Synopsis New multiparametric similarity measure and distance measure for interval neutrosophic set with IoT industry evaluation by : XINDONG PENG

In the epoch of Internet of Things (IoT), we are confronted five challenges (Connectivity, Value, Security, Telepresence and Intelligence) with complex structures. IoT industry decision making is critically important for countries or societies to enhance the effectiveness and validity of leadership, which can greatly accelerate industrialized and large-scale development. In the case of IoT industry decision evaluation, the essential problem arises serious incompleteness, impreciseness, subjectivity and incertitude. Interval neutrosophic set (INS), disposing the indeterminacy portrayed by truth membership T, indeterminacy membership I, and falsity membership F with interval form, is a more viable and effective means to seize indeterminacy.

Synopsis Fuzzy Techniques for Decision Making 2018 by : José Carlos R. Alcantud

Zadeh's fuzzy set theory incorporates the impreciseness of data and evaluations, by imputting the degrees by which each object belongs to a set. Its success fostered theories that codify the subjectivity, uncertainty, imprecision, or roughness of the evaluations. Their rationale is to produce new flexible methodologies in order to model a variety of concrete decision problems more realistically. This Special Issue garners contributions addressing novel tools, techniques and methodologies for decision making (inclusive of both individual and group, single- or multi-criteria decision making) in the context of these theories. It contains 38 research articles that contribute to a variety of setups that combine fuzziness, hesitancy, roughness, covering sets, and linguistic approaches. Their ranges vary from fundamental or technical to applied approaches.

Synopsis Type-2 neutrosophic number based multi-attributive border approximation area comparison (MABAC) approach for offshore wind farm site selection in USA by : Muhammet Deveci

This approach combines the advantages of neutrosophic numbers sets, which can utilize uncertain and incomplete information, with a multi-attributive border approximation area comparison that provides formulation flexibility and easy calculation. Further, this study develops and integrates a techno-economic model for OWFs in the decision-making. A case study is performed to evaluate and rank five proposed OWF sites off the coast of New Jersey. To validate the proposed model, a comparison against three alternative T2NN fuzzy based models is performed. It is demonstrated that the implemented model yields the same ranking order as the alternative approaches. Sensitivity analysis reveals that changing criteria weightings does not affect the ranking order.
