Synopsis Topological Structure and Analysis of Interconnection Networks by : Junming Xu
The advent of very large scale integrated circuit technology has enabled the construction of very complex and large interconnection networks. By most accounts, the next generation of supercomputers will achieve its gains by increasing the number of processing elements, rather than by using faster processors. The most difficult technical problem in constructing a supercom puter will be the design of the interconnection network through which the processors communicate. Selecting an appropriate and adequate topological structure of interconnection networks will become a critical issue, on which many research efforts have been made over the past decade. The book is aimed to attract the readers' attention to such an important research area. Graph theory is a fundamental and powerful mathematical tool for de signing and analyzing interconnection networks, since the topological struc ture of an interconnection network is a graph. This fact has been univer sally accepted by computer scientists and engineers. This book provides the most basic problems, concepts and well-established results on the topological structure and analysis of interconnection networks in the language of graph theory. The material originates from a vast amount of literature, but the theory presented is developed carefully and skillfully. The treatment is gen erally self-contained, and most stated results are proved. No exercises are explicitly exhibited, but there are some stated results whose proofs are left to the reader to consolidate his understanding of the material.

Synopsis Electronics, Communications and Networks by : A.J. Tallón-Ballesteros
It is hard to imagine a world without electronic communication networks, so dependent have we all become on the networks which now exist and have become part of the fabric of our daily lives. This book presents papers from CECNet 2023, the 13th International Conference on Electronics, Communications and Networks, held as a hybrid event, in person in Macau, China and online via Microsoft Teams, from 17-20 November 2023. This annual conference provides a comprehensive, global forum for experts and participants from academia to exchange ideas and present the results of ongoing research in state-of-the-art areas of electronics technology, communications engineering and technology, wireless communications engineering and technology, and computer engineering and technology. A total of 324 submissions were received for the conference, and those which qualified by virtue of falling under the scope of the conference topics were exhaustively reviewed by program committee members and peer-reviewers, taking into account the breadth and depth of the relevant research topics. The 101 selected contributions included in this book present innovative, original ideas or results of general significance, supported by clear and rigorous reasoning and compelling new light in both evidence and method. Subjects covered divide broadly into 3 categories: electronics technology and VLSI, internet technology and signal processing, and information communication and communication networks. Providing an overview of current research and developments in these rapidly evolving fields, the book will be of interest to all those working with digital communications networks.

Synopsis Hybrid Information Systems by : Ramakant Bhardwaj
The book provides comprehensive and cognitive approach to building and deploying sophisticated information systems. The book utilizes non-linear optimization techniques, fuzzy logic, and rough sets to model various real-world use cases for the digital era. The hybrid information system modeling handles both qualitative and quantitative data and can effectively handle uncertainty and imprecision in the data. The combination of non-linear optimization mechanisms, fuzzy logic, and rough sets provides a robust foundation for next-generation information systems that can fulfill the demands of adaptive, aware, and adroit software applications for the knowledge era. The book emphasizes the importance of the hybrid approach, which combines the strengths of both mathematical and AI techniques, to achieve a more comprehensive and effective modeling process. Hybrid information system modeling techniques combine different approaches, such as fuzzy logic, rough sets, and neural networks, to create models that can handle the complexity and uncertainty of real-world problems. These techniques provide a powerful tool for modeling and analyzing complex systems, and the applications of hybrid information system modeling demonstrate their potential for solving real-world problems in various fields.

Synopsis Computational Science – ICCS 2008 by : Marian Bubak
The three-volume set LNCS 5101-5103 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Computational Science, ICCS 2008, held in Krakow, Poland in June 2008. The 167 revised papers of the main conference track presented together with the abstracts of 7 keynote talks and the 100 revised papers from 14 workshops were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the three volumes. The main conference track was divided into approximately 20 parallel sessions addressing topics such as e-science applications and systems, scheduling and load balancing, software services and tools, new hardware and its applications, computer networks, simulation of complex systems, image processing and visualization, optimization techniques, numerical linear algebra, and numerical algorithms. The second volume contains workshop papers related to various computational research areas, e.g.: computer graphics and geometric modeling, simulation of multiphysics multiscale systems, computational chemistry and its applications, computational finance and business intelligence, physical, biological and social networks, geocomputation, and teaching computational science. The third volume is mostly related to computer science topics such as bioinformatics' challenges to computer science, tools for program development and analysis in computational science, software engineering for large-scale computing, collaborative and cooperative environments, applications of workflows in computational science, as well as intelligent agents and evolvable systems.
