Synopsis The Kangaroo's Messenger by : Jonathan Burton Peters Jr

A middle grade fantasy book that both teens and young adults will enjoy! Perfect for kids who love adventure and fantasy stories! A young man named Jasper discovers a young joey kangaroo one day while out on a hunt and saves it from the dingoes. After rescuing the kangaroo he decides to raise it himself, since the mother had abandoned it. Years later he will be shocked to find out why it was abandoned, since this kangaroo in particular seems to have grown bigger then any kangaroo the boy had ever seen before. Soon the kangaroo outgrows Jasper's shack, so both decide that they should find some place better. The day Jasper mounts Kaylia's back will change his life, for that day he discovered that if you had a way to hold on it was actually possible to mount the kangaroo and ride it. Soon after while in one of the local towns the head of the messenger services in their realm notices Jasper and his mount, and decides that the boy would be able to make a fairly decent messenger. So he inquires the boy about becoming a messenger to run mail and packages around their country of Northern Austra while astride the back of his giant kangaroo. Meanwhile, Jasper also eventually tries to seek out the other giant kangaroos in an effort to be able to eventually release Kaylia, so that she can return to where she belongs and have her freedom as he believes she could. At the time he doesn't believe that she belongs with him, since she should be free and be able to live in the wild. For he knows that if she would have never been attacked by the dingoes that she would have grown up as a wild, and free giant kangaroo. Jasper will do all he can to try to get the chance to release Kaylia back into the wild, if that's even possible. Come along for the ride of your life as a mounted messenger on the back of a kangaroo in The Kangaroo's Messenger.

At the heart of John C. Maxwell's brilliant and inspiring book is a simple premise: To do well in life, we must first think well. But can we actually learn new mental habits? Drawing on the words and deeds of many of the world's greatest leaders and using interactive quizzes, this empowering book helps you assess your thinking style, guides you to new ones, and step by step teaches you the secrets of: Big-Picture Thinking -- seeing the world beyond your own needs and how that leads to great ideas. Focused Thinking -- removing mental clutter and distractions to realize your full potential. Creative Thinking -- stepping out of the "box" and making breakthroughs. Shared Thinking -- working with others to compound results. - Reflective Thinking -- looking at the past to gain a better understanding of the future ...and much more. Here America's most trusted and admired motivational teacher examines the very foundation of success and self-transformation. Illuminating and life-changing, Thinking for a Change is a unique primer not on what to think, but how to best use one of your most precious possessions: your mind.
