Synopsis A Witch in Time by : Constance Sayers
A witch is cursed to relive a doomed love affair through many lifetimes, as both troubled muse and frustrated artist, in this haunting debut novel. Helen Lambert has lived several lives-a young piano virtuoso in 1890s Paris, an actress in 1930's Hollywood, a rock star in 1970s Los Angeles -- only she doesn't know it. Until she meets a strange man who claims he's watched over her for centuries, bound to her from the beginning. At first, Helen doesn't believe him. Her life is as normal as any other modern career woman's. Then she begins having vivid dreams about ill-fated love and lives cut short. Caught in a curse, Helen will be forced to relive the same tragic events that ruined her previous lives. But with each rebirth, she's developed uncanny powers. And as the most powerful version of herself, Helen must find a way to break the curse before her time runs out. A Witch in Time is a bewitching tale of passion, reincarnation, and magic perfect for fans of A Secret History of Witches and Outlander. Synopsis Hour of the Witch by : Chris Bohjalian
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • From the acclaimed author of The Flight Attendant: “Historical fiction at its best…. The book is a thriller in structure, and a real page-turner, the ending both unexpected and satisfying” (Diana Gabaldon, bestselling author of the Outlander series, The Washington Post). A young Puritan woman—faithful, resourceful, but afraid of the demons that dog her soul—plots her escape from a violent marriage in this riveting and propulsive novel of historical suspense. Boston, 1662. Mary Deerfield is twenty-four-years-old. Her skin is porcelain, her eyes delft blue, and in England she might have had many suitors. But here in the New World, amid this community of saints, Mary is the second wife of Thomas Deerfield, a man as cruel as he is powerful. When Thomas, prone to drunken rage, drives a three-tined fork into the back of Mary's hand, she resolves that she must divorce him to save her life. But in a world where every neighbor is watching for signs of the devil, a woman like Mary—a woman who harbors secret desires and finds it difficult to tolerate the brazen hypocrisy of so many men in the colony—soon becomes herself the object of suspicion and rumor. When tainted objects are discovered buried in Mary's garden, when a boy she has treated with herbs and simples dies, and when their servant girl runs screaming in fright from her home, Mary must fight to not only escape her marriage, but also the gallows. A twisting, tightly plotted novel of historical suspense from one of our greatest storytellers, Hour of the Witch is a timely and terrifying story of socially sanctioned brutality and the original American witch hunt.

Natasha and Crystal meet up with witches, vampires and many strange aliens as they pursue their quest with them at the start of the journey is a android called Foster, a goblin called Shimick and Shanice a teenage witch. They travel back where the witches began, at their origins in Scotland. They were said to have obtained their powers as a result of super nova in space, this caused meteors to hail from the skies containing high levels of gamma radiation, which as a rule would be harmful to anybody. The energy omitted from the rock gave them great powers that they were unable to understand or appreciate in some cases, this caused a division in the tribe of cave dwellers resulting in the introduction of two kinds of witches, the white witches who were peace lovers who used their powers for good and the dark witches who were evil and used their powers to destroy and dominate other species.

Synopsis Bell, Book and Camera by : Heather Greene
The witch as a cultural archetype has existed in some form since the beginning of recorded history. Her nature has changed through technological developments and sociocultural shifts--a transformation most evident in her depictions on screen. This book traces the figure of the witch through American screen history with an analysis of the entertainment industry's shifting boundaries concerning expressions of femininity. Focusing on films and television series from The Wizard of Oz to The Craft, the author looks at how the witch reflects alterations of gender roles, religion, the modern practice of witchcraft, and female agency.

It also attracts witches. When the down-on-her-luck but plucky Shera knocks him down, begging to be indentured, he resists. But Shera is dogged and will prove herself, no matter what she has to destroy. You see, it’s joining Lee or death for the powerful clock witch, and she’d prefer to see out her days in his dusty factory than vie with the pirates she’s running from. But once one starts running, it’s so very hard to stop. And even if Shera runs head – and heart – first into Lee’s arms, it won’t be enough to save her or the city. A dark treasure across the sea beckons.
