Synopsis Time Crystals by : Krzysztof Sacha

This book provides the first comprehensive description of time crystals which have a repeating structure in time. It introduces the fundamental concepts behind time crystals and explores the many different branches of this new research area. The book starts with the original idea of the time crystallization in quantum systems as introduced by Wilczek and follows the development of the field up to the present day. Both spontaneous formation of crystalline structures in time and concepts of the condensed matter physics in the time domain, ranging from Anderson localization in time to many-body systems with exotic interactions, are described. The prospect of creation of novel objects by means of time engineering is also presented. The book assumes knowledge of quantum mechanics to the graduate level. It serves as a valuable reference with pointers to future research directions for graduate students and senior scientists alike.

Synopsis Time Crystal by : Fouad Sabry

What Is Time Crystal In condensed matter physics, a time crystal is a quantum system of particles whose lowest-energy state is one in which the particles are in repetitive motion. The system cannot lose energy to the environment and come to rest because it is already in its quantum ground state. Because of this the motion of the particles does not really represent kinetic energy like other motion, it has "motion without energy". Time crystals were first proposed theoretically by Frank Wilczek in 2012 as a time-based analogue to common crystals whereas the atoms in crystals are arranged periodically in space, the atoms in a time crystal are arranged periodically in both space and time. Several different groups have demonstrated matter with stable periodic evolution in systems that are periodically driven. In terms of practical use, time crystals may one day be used as quantum memories. How You Will Benefit (I) Insights, and validations about the following topics: Chapter 1: Time crystal Chapter 2: Time translation symmetry Chapter 3: Crystal structure Chapter 4: Spontaneous symmetry breaking Chapter 5: Condensed matter physics Chapter 6: Quantum mechanics Chapter 7: Zero-point energy (II) Answering the public top questions about time crystal. Synopsis Time and the Crystal by : Robert M. Durling

"A brilliant achievement. The range of learning is enormous, both in medieval scientific, philosophical lore and poetry and in the vast secondary literature on Dante. The authors bring the best traditions of Anglo-American formal analysis to bear upon the petrose, and produce powerful and original interpretations. . . . This will be a book that all serious readers of Dante's poetry--both of the petrose and the Comedy--will want to read."--David Quint, author of Origin and Originality in Renaissance Literature

Synopsis Depth-time-temperature Relationships of Ice Crystal Growth in Polar Glaciers by : Anthony Jack Gow

The growth of ice crystals as a function of depth and time in polar firn and glacier ice has been investigated at a number of locations in Antarctica and Greenland. Thin sections of snow and ice were used to measure crystal size variations. Crystal growth rates are strongly temperature dependent with growth being very much retarded at the lower englacial temperatures. At Camp Century, Greenland, where the firn temperature is -24C (constant below 10 m depth) crystals grow approximately 23 times faster than at Plateau Station, Antarctica, where the in situ temperature is -57C. Synopsis Crystal Cove Cottages by : Karen E. Steen

Tucked between the housing developments and golf courses of the Orange County coast lies a small settlement of rustic beach cottages seemingly frozen in time. ¿Crystal Cove Cottages¿ is the first history of this uniquely preserved beach spot that has lured travellers and campers since the 1920s. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places as "the last intact example of California beach vernacular architecture,¿ Crystal Cove is now a state park and its cottages are open to the public for overnight visits. From silent-film location to rum-runners' hideout, scenic setting for a vibrant landscape painting community to 1950s luau-party headquarters, Crystal Cove has all the while remained a bohemian yet family-friendly village. Ten sidebars on notable individual cottages highlight the cove's distinct and often amusing architectural evolution. Crystal Cove Cottages captures the nostalgic ambiance of seaside Americana.

Synopsis Nanobrain by : Anirban Bandyopadhyay

Making an artificial brain is not a part of artificial intelligence. It will be a revolutionary journey of mankind exploring a science where one cannot write an equation, a material will vibrate like geometric shape, and then those shapes will change to make decisions. Geometry of silence plays like a musical instrument to mimic a human brain; our thoughts, imagination, everything would be a 3D shape playing as music; composing music would be the brain’s singular job. For a century, the Turing machine ruled human civilization; it was believed that irrespective of complexity all events add up linearly. This book is a thesis to explore the science of decision-making where events are 3D-geometric shapes, events grow within and above, never side by side. The book documents inventions and discoveries in neuroscience, computer science, materials science, mathematics and chemistry that explore the possibility of brain or universe as a time crystal. The philosophy of Turing, the philosophy of membrane-based neuroscience and the philosophy of linear, sequential thought process are challenged here by considering that a nested time crystal encompasses the entire conscious universe. Instead of an algorithm, the pattern of maximum free will is generated mathematically and that very pattern is encoded in materials such that its natural vibration integrates random events exactly similar to the way nature does it in every remote corner of our universe. Find how an artificial brain avoids any necessity for algorithm or programming using the pattern of free will.
