Synopsis Through the Storm by : Tony Cooke
In this new book by Tony Cooke, he outlines three different storms in the Bible, why they came and how they got through. Jonahs storm, the Disciples storm and Pauls storm. Jonahs storm came in the midst of disobedience and he got out of his storm through repentance and consecration to do the will of God. Because he was delivered from his storm, Jonah made it to Ninevah and delivered Gods message and the people were spared. In the disciples storm, it came in the midst of perfect obedience. They got out of their storm when spiritual authority was exercised and the command of faith was spoken. The disciples brought Jesus to the other side and a demoniac was set free. The third storm outlined was Pauls storm and his came through the disobedience of others. He got out of his storm through perseverance and enduring faith. Paul made it to Rome and the gospel was presented to Cesar. No matter what kind of storm you are going through in life, you can persevere, survive and overcome and lead out the plan God has for you.

Synopsis Understanding Spiritual Gifts by : Sam Storms
What are spiritual gifts? Storms has spent several decades teaching on the topic of the spiritual gifts and equipping believers in the faithful practice of God's gifts. Yet there remains a great deal of confusion about the nature of the gifts and how they best function in the body of Christ. In this comprehensive guide to the spiritual gifts, Storms addresses the many bizarre and misleading interpretations while confronting the tendency to downplay the urgency of spiritual gifts for Christian living and ministry. He explains how spiritual gifts--both the more miraculous and the everyday--are given to build up the body of Christ. God has graciously provided these "manifestations of the Spirit" so that believers might encourage, edify, strengthen, instruct, and console one another, all with a view to an ever-increasing, incremental transformation into the image of Jesus Christ. Throughout this guide, Sam Storms unpacks the glorious truth that there is a supernatural and divine energy or power that fills and indwells the body and soul of every Christian believer. Understanding Spiritual Gifts is useful as a reference to address common questions about the gifts, but it also serves as a training manual for using and exercising the gifts in ministry. It is perfect for any individual or group who wants to grow in their understanding of spiritual gifts for today.

Synopsis Beyond the Storm by : Debra B. Morton
A handbook of help and hope when facing personal tragedy. When the storms of life blow in unexpectedly, wreaking havoc and leaving a trail of destruction, why does one person fall apart while another perseveres and even finds a deeper sense of purpose afterward? In Beyond the Storm, Debra Morton reveals why, providing the techniques and strategies that helped her and many others not only survive but also thrive, even in the most painful of circumstances. While ministering to victims of Hurricane Katrina and grieving the death of her granddaughter, Morton realized that the key to pushing forward in the midst of setbacks was having a defined set of coping skills. So she created the “Storm Playbook,” which teaches how to renew your hope, reclaim your passion, and experience fulfillment and joy again. That playbook is here for you to use immediately, along with interactive tools, journaling questions, and scripture studies that will guide you through pain and struggle and into strength and victory once again. Beyond the Storm is an essential help for flourishing after the devastating effects of life’s blows so you can actively pursue the purpose you were designed to fulfill.

Synopsis Storms by :
Mitch Dobrowner has been chasing storms since 2005. Working with professional storm chaser Roger Hill, Dobrowner has traveled throughout Western and Midwestern America to capture nature in its full fury, making extraordinary images of monsoons, tornados, and massive thunderstorms with the highest standard of craftsmanship and in the tradition of Ansel Adams. Dobrowner, a graphic designer by trade, says, As I researched the subject of storm systems and how they formed, I came to appreciate the complexity of these large structured super-cellsmassive storms with deep, rotating updrafts that sometimes spawn tornadoes. As a photographer, I always count myself lucky to get to the right place at the right time. Dobrowners storm series has attracted considerable media interest (National Geographic, Time, New York Times Magazine, among others) and is presented in Storms in a deluxe, largeformat yet affordable edition. The book features an introduction by Gretel Ehrlich that focuses on the phenomenon of storms and on the landscape tradition of the American West.
