The final book of the Bible, Revelation prophesies the ultimate judgement of mankind in a series of allegorical visions, grisly images and numerological predictions. According to these, empires will fall, the "Beast" will be destroyed and Christ will rule a new Jerusalem. With an introduction by Will Self.

The letters of Jesus Christ to the seven churches in Revelation were tailored to address the real needs and challenges of specific churches. As we read these letters, we will discover that the needs and challenges those congregations faced are very much like those faced by our local churches today, and that Christ's word to these seven churches are as relevant now as they were then. As we give heed to the message of these letters, we will be challenged to be the church God intended for us to be. These outlined preaching manuscripts were written and delivered by Gregory Lund. The approach is solidly biblical, and the sermons expositional in nature. This book may be used as a commentary, for sermon preparation, or for group or individual Bible study.

Pastor Allan Descheneau invites the reader to “walk along with the letter carrier of the Roman Road” as he takes them on an exhilarating journey in his book Letters from Jesus. Well organized and simple to understand, Pastor Allan reveals Jesus’ hopes for His church and their need for repentance, grace, encouragement, and a revitalized relationship with Him. Although these letters were delivered to specific churches almost two thousand years ago, with the help of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Allan is able to draw out the many truths for us today. Just as Ephesus struggled to make love a priority, Smyrna faced persecution, Pergamum endured the flank attacks of Satan, and Thyatira compromised its morality, so do many Christians and congregations struggle with these same issues today. Above all, Letters from Jesus invites the reader to ask, “What would Jesus’ letter be to me?”

Seven Letters to Seven Churches is the second volume in Brian McCallum's Breaking the Bread of Revelation series. In it he focuses on the brief letters recorded in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. These two chapters of Revelation provide a picture of Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, ministering to His Body today! Author Brian McCallum says, "My heart's desire is that pastors and teachers everywhere in Christendom will preach and teach these truths to their local congregations, thus emphasizing by the anointing of the Holy Spirit things which are essential to the Church's overcoming in our day and fulfilling her Great Commission." Although written to first-century Christians, the letters commend, warn, and encourage all overcomers--believers who are living and growing in Christ and obeying His commands. Questions addressed include: What is a Christian's first love, and how can it be maintained? What sin, when tolerated, weakens the Church the most? How can we live so the Lord has no need to rebuke us? God doesn't want us to wait until we get to Heaven to be overcomers. He has made it possible for us to live now in the privileges He gives us.

The harsh tone of the Greek text is inescapable. Most of our modern Bibles are translations based on the Greek New Testament. So when I began to read the New Testament from the Aramaic language, it was like re-reading the Bible for the first time. The text came alive in a different way, and the burning love of God toward us permeated through the text more than I had ever seen. While translating chapters 2 and 3 of John's Revelation, that this dichotomy became ever more apparent. The Jesus that is so often portrayed as harsh and even violent (Rev 2:23) is seen in a completely different light in the original Aramaic language. He is the same Jesus we read and experience in the Gospels; loving, tender, compassionate. It is with great joy and reverential awe of our Lord Jesus that I present to you the seven letters to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation from Aramaic, the language of Jesus. My hope is that as you meditate on these words, you would experience a cleansing from religiosity, "by the washing of water with the word" (Eph 5:26). May this short read catapult you into a deeper encounter with His love! Here are a few sample texts from this book: "I will come for your sake, immediately, and I will cause them to have an encounter with the sword of my mouth" (Revelation 2:16). "Behold! I will make them come and prostrate themselves before your feet, and they will know that I burn with love for you" (Revelation 3:9). "But you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot. Therefore I am preparing to be causing you to be restored by my mouth" (Revelation 3:16).
