Synopsis Thomas' Little Light by : Patricia Beth Rodgers
Five-year-old Thomas has a lot to complain about. Not only has his father left him in charge of a house full of girls while fighting the war in Iraq, but Thomas also has growing pains in his legs that awaken him in the middle of the night. Then he has an added fear when he overhears his mother talking about moving far away from their grandparents' Texas ranch to live in a city called El Paso. How can they leave the ranch they love to be around city kids who don't know anything about country things? How can he leave his grandparents who need his help? And, how will his sisters Leah, Abby, and Mia, react when they find out they must move into a neighborhood on an Army base?

Synopsis This Little Light by : Christa Brown
In this groundbreaking memoir and expose, Christa Brown tells the story of clergy sex abuse and cover-ups in the largest Protestant denomination, the Southern Baptist Convention. As she shares her journey from trusting church girl to tenacious advocate for children's safety, Brown shines a light on the patterns of preacher-predators and the collusion of evangelical leaders. This Little Light speaks of the unspeakable, and in doing so, testifies to the transformative power of truth-telling.

Synopsis Light Imprint Handbook by : Thomas E. Low
Light Imprint (LI) is a planning and development strategy that emphasizes sustainability, pedestrian-oriented design and increased environmental and infrastructural efficiency while reducing a community's anticipated construction expenses. The Light Imprint Initiative establishes transect-based environmental performance metrics, something LEED-ND lacks. This handbook provides an overview of the Initiative and features data-based Light Imprint case studies. It is organized around the transect and includes detailed information on how to easily use over sixty Light Imprint tools and resources calibrated on the transect. The data is organized in a useful Light Imprint Transect-based Matrix. Users of this handbook will gain an understanding of the Light Imprint Overlay strategy and the tactics to apply the LI approach on their next development project. -- T.p.

Synopsis Good Night, Little Engine by :
Record a Story with Thomas & Friends: Good Night, Little Engine enables adults and children to create and record a story in their own words. A parent who travels frequently or is in the military, or a grandparent who lives far away, might record the story as a gift for a child or grandchild. Or a parent might have a child record the story as a keepsake of the child's voice. Everyone can take turns recording pages and creating a keepsake storybook. Record a Story with Thomas & Friends: Good Night, Little Engine tells the story of Thomas the Tank Engine's return to the Tidmouth Sheds after a rewarding day of work. Along the way he interacts with many favorite characters from the Island of Sodor. Each time a page is turned, a musical tune plays and a narrator reads the words on the page. At that point, an adult or child can record the words to personalize the book, and add his or her own thoughts. Follow these directions: • Turn to the page you wish to record. • Press the RECORD button. Listen to the instructions. When you hear a beeping sound, read the words on the page. • After you are finished reading the page, press STOP. You can re-record until you are satisfied with the recording. Repeat the process with the remaining pages of the book. • Set the locking switch behind the screw-on plate to ensure that your recording won't be inadvertently erased. The voice recording is permanent; it will not be lost when the book's batteries are changed. Three replaceable AAA batteries come with the book.
