This book tells the story of Bernard Fresenborg, a former Roman Catholic Priest who spent 30 years in the priesthood during the 19th century, before eventually leaving the church. While the book is advertised as an autobiography, it does not offer many personal details about Fresenborg's life. Instead, it takes a critical view of the Roman Catholic Church and priests in general. The book contains passages that portray priests in a negative light, but only in relation to their interactions with women.
