The cases of other states upon their Compensation Acts have not been cited. The reason for this is that an attempt to deal with all the cases of all the states would necessitate a consideration of the details of the varying statutes, which is beyond the scope of a work intended (as this is) as a book of local law and practice. In using the book it should be borne in mind that Chapter 149 of the Laws of 1918, which is to be found at page 175 of this book, giving original jurisdiction to the Workmen's Compensation Bureau, should be first consulted as to procedure.
