Synopsis The Unsolved Mysteries of the Bible by : Yohane
We are currently living in an interesting, exciting, wonderful, and ominous time in the history of the world. Technology and the Informational Age make it possible to know instantly about world events-and some of these events appear to be extremely worrisome. In response to this situation, The Unsolved Mysteries of the Bible gathers topical treatments of the Bible's key messages, supplementing them with insights from the writings of the world's varied ancient traditions. Author Yohane has assembled this diverse array of sources into a sequence of thirty-eight chapters addressing questions about the Bible and God, moving through the accounts of creation and salvation, and turning, finally, to the mysteries of God's planned ending of the world. If you listen to the news and wonder what sense to make of a confusing world, if you ask yourself whether life has any purpose or worthy end, or if you have always intended to dig into the Bible to find out its witness to God and his design for the whole creation from beginning to end, then The Unsolved Mysteries of the Bible can serve as your guide to asking the hard questions, listening for the truthful answers, equipping yourself to live in this world, and knowing God's plans for the world to come.

Synopsis The Lost Gospel by : Simcha Jacobovici
Waiting to be rediscovered in the British Library is an ancient manuscript of the early Church, copied by an anonymous monk. The manuscript is at least 1,450 years old, possibly dating to the first century. And now, The Lost Gospel provides the first ever translation from Syriac into English of this unique document that tells the inside story of Jesus’ social, family, and political life. The Lost Gospel takes the reader on an unparalleled historical adventure through a paradigm shifting manuscript. What the authors eventually discover is as astounding as it is surprising: the confirmation of Jesus’ marriage to Mary Magdalene; the names of their two children; the towering presence of Mary Magdalene; a previously unknown plot on Jesus’ life (thirteen years prior to the crucifixion); an assassination attempt against Mary Magdalene and their children; Jesus’ connection to political figures at the highest level of the Roman Empire; and a religious movement that antedates that of Paul—the Church of Mary Magdalene.Part historical detective story, part modern adventure, The Lost Gospel reveals secrets that have been hiding in plain sight for millennia.

Synopsis Cold-Case Christianity by : J. Warner Wallace
Written by an L. A. County homicide detective and former atheist, Cold-Case Christianity examines the claims of the New Testament using the skills and strategies of a hard-to-convince criminal investigator. Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity. A unique apologetic that speaks to readers’ intense interest in detective stories, Cold-Case Christianity inspires readers to have confidence in Christ as it prepares them to articulate the case for Christianity.

Synopsis You Are My Son by : Amy L. B. Peeler
The author of Hebrews calls God 'Father' only twice in his sermon. This fact could account for scholarship's lack of attention to the familial dynamics that run throughout the letter. Peeler argues, however, that by having God articulate his identity as Father through speaking Israel's Scriptures at the very beginning and near the end of his sermon, the author sets a familial framework around his entire exhortation. The author enriches the picture of God's family by continually portraying Jesus as God's Son, the audience as God's many sons, the blessings God bestows as inheritance, and the trials God allows as pedagogy. The recurrence of the theme coalesces into a powerful ontological reality for the audience: because God is the Father of Jesus Christ, they too are the sons of God. But even more than the model of sonship, Jesus' relationship with his Father ensures that the children of God will endure the race of faith to a successful finish because they are an integral part of comprehensive inheritance promised by his Father and secured by his obedience. Because of the familial relationship between God and Jesus, the audience of Hebrews - God's children - can remain in the house of God forever.
