Synopsis True Woman 101: Divine Design by : Mary A Kassian
What does it mean to be a woman? The current cultural ideal for womanhood encourages women to be strident, sexual, self-centered, independent -- and above all -- powerful and in control. But sadly, this model of womanhood hasn't delivered the happiness and fulfillment it promised. The Bible teaches that it's not up to us to decide what womanhood is all about. God created male and female for a very specific purpose. His design isn't arbitrary or unimportant. It is very intentional and He wants women to discover, embrace, and delight in the beauty of His design. He's looking for True Women! Bible teachers Mary A. Kassian and Nancy Leigh DeMoss share the key fundamentals of biblical womanhood in this eight week study. Each week includes five daily individual lessons leading to a group time of sharing and digging deeper into God's Word. And to enhance this time of learning together, on-line videos are available featuring Mary and Nancy as they encourage women to discover and embrace God's design and mission for their lives. A True Woman Book The goal of the True Woman publishing line is to encourage women to: Discover, embrace, and delight in God's divine design and mission for their lives Reflect the beauty and heart of Jesus Christ to their world Intentionally pass the baton of Truth on to the next generation Pray earnestly for an outpouring of God's Spirit in their families, churches, nation and world

Synopsis The True Woman by : Susan Hunt
What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer. O, what peace we often forfeit O, what needless pain we bear-- All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer. --Joseph Scriven The man who wrote this famous 19th-century hymn was familiar with loneliness. He fought it all his life. It was after one bout with depression that he wrote the words to this song. What he had discovered was the reality of friendship with Jesus Christ. He knew that because Jesus lived upon earth as a man, He understands our feelings. He knows what it is like to be lonely. He suffered the pain of rejection and cruelty, and felt hunger and thirst. The Bible describes Him as "a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief" (Isaiah 53:3). Yet Jesus did more than sympathize with our troubles. He knew that the root of our problem is sin. The Bible says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God," and that "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 3:23; 6:23). But "He (God) hath made Him (Christ), who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus Christ, God the Son, died on the cross, and rose from the dead on the third day. God gives all those who know Jesus Christ as Savior the right to call God, Father (Romans 8:15). Christ has promised that He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He does not promise an easy life, but He gives us the privilege of taking "everything to God in prayer" and knowing that He hears, and will answer us (1 John 5:15). Through His Spirit He offers inner peace and strength. All that God requires is that you and I turn from our sins (repent) and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9). To believe in Christ means you acknowledge that there is nothing you can do to be "good enough" to meet God's holy standard. Christ alone made the perfect sacrifice to put away your sin. Have you received Jesus Christ as your Savior? If not, you can right now. Tell God that you are sorry for your sins. Thank Him for sending His Son to die for you, and invite Him into your life.

Synopsis True Women by : Janice Woods Windle
Acclaim for True Women "Janice Woods Windle has performed a family miracle. Her book, True Women, is actually two books; a depiction of her distinguished Texas family, and an engrossing novel built upon her real ancestors. She recalls vivid scenes from her family's past, but also weaves them into a well-constructed novel. I know of no other book like it. Exciting storytelling." -James A. Michener "Janice Woods Windle has looked into her own heritage and pulled out a great windstorm of a novel. True Women presents, a stable of women they breed best in Texas: strong, pound, vivid, unforgettable. This is an American original, deftly told." -Anne Rivers Siddon "True Women represents a part of our country's history ignored and long overdue for recognition. At last, we can read about the pioneers and their husbands for a change!" -Fannie Flagg "I grew up listening to great stories. Janice Windle's novel, True Women is an engaging story of three generations of Texas women whose lived capture your imagination and your heart. It is a landmark book and validates its title." -Liz Carpenter Executive Assistant to Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson and Press Secretary to First Lady Lady Bird Johnson

Synopsis Becoming God's True Woman by : Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
A charge to women to recover what the feminist revolution has robbed them of: the God-given beauty, wonder, and treasure of their distinctive calling and mission. The feminist revolution was supposed to bring women greater fulfillment and freedom. Yet women today feel anything but fulfilled and free because they have lost the distinctiveness and richness of their calling as women. Now a movement is spreading seeds of hope, humility, obedience, and prayer-a call to return to godly womanhood-and its truth will resound in the hearts of readers through the powerful messages of Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Susan Hunt, Mary Kassian, Carolyn Mahaney, Barbara Hughes, P. Bunny Wilson, and Dorothy Patterson. Though each author approaches the subject of godly womanhood differently, a thread runs throughout that will instill joy and delight at the greatness of God's created order and the part he wants women to play in his grand, redemptive plan. Includes a study guide.

Synopsis Becoming God's True Woman by : Mary A Kassian
Have you ever wondered why God made both male and female? Have you thought about His purpose for you as a female? Have you considered the fact that God has intentionally planned everything about your life? Then join Bible teachers Susan Hunt and Mary A. Kassian in this 35-day devotional, digging deep into God's Word, hearing what He says about your womanhood, and learning how to live as a "true woman" day by day. Each day begins with a short devotion and then a 'Time For You' section—a time for you to read, think, and pray about living for God's glory. Interspersed throughout are personal stories and thoughts from girls like you: What you spend your time with and allow your mind to dwell on will be displayed in your life. Girls need to realize that they should only spend their time enjoying the words, sounds, and images they want to become. (Allison, age 17) The media encourages girls to be loud and bossy. In shows, the quiet girl is always picked on and ridiculed. (Connie Jean, age 13) Modesty to me is beauty. It outwardly symbolizes what Christ has done to our hearts—made them new, clean and worthy of coming into God's presence . . . that’s what modesty is about. (RuthAnne, age 17) Becoming God's True Woman is A True Woman Book The goal of the True Woman publishing line is to encourage women to: Discover, embrace, and delight in God's divine design and mission for their lives Reflect the beauty and heart of Jesus Christ to their world Intentionally pass the baton of Truth on to the next generation Pray earnestly for an outpouring of God's Spirit in their families, churches, nation and world

Synopsis Fierce Women by : Kimberly Wagner
Can you have a strong personality and still be a godly wife? YES! Do you ever get the idea that being a godly wife means you need to be a mousy doormat? Be as unnoticeable as a doorknob? Or have a personality transplant? Fierce Women: The Power of a Soft Warrior smashes that idea. No matter whether you’re an extrovert or more introverted, Kimberly Wagner believes women are created to be a compelling force. You may not see yourself as beautifully fierce or even slightly strong, but what if God has placed a powerful fierceness within you, within every woman? Kim admits her fierceness became a source of conflict in her marriage, but the relationship dynamic totally changed when she discovered her fierce strengths could be used to encourage and inspire her husband. She invites you to come alongside as she takes an honest look at a destructive relationship dynamic and casts a vision for the transformation God can bring to troubled marriages.
