This novel starts with a prologue dealing with the mythology surrounding the development of two different species of mankind: the group of people designated as Homo Sapiens and the much smaller subtype know as Cro-Magnon Man. The action starts immediately with the two groups clashing and then differentiating into the development of civilizations populated by Homo Sapiens but mentored by Cro-Magnon known as the Coruscus.
