A. E. Moule, in the midst of his duties, whilst discharging my lack of service at Hang chow. He would have been glad of the advantage of leisure to render it more complete and more graphic than it is. I have assisted in the duty of passing it through the press and can only thank God that a missionary narrative, in which I must needs feel so earnest and loving an interest, has been so well and candidly given.
