Synopsis The Secret Blessing: the Dala'il Al Khayrat for Children by : Elizabeth Bootman
The Dala'il al Khayrat is a devotional text used by Muslims around the world to praise the Prophet Muhammad (s) by Imam Muhammad bin Sulayman al Jazuli. This series will offer 40 salawats from the text that are easy to explain to children. There are several stories about the origin of the Dala'il Al-Khayrat so that the children can learn about where it may have come from, and these stories have been interspersed with the framing story in this text. The Grandfather is the donor figure teaching his two grandsons about the Dala'il Khayrat. This text uses the translation from Dala'il Al-Khayrat: Arabic with English Translation and Transliteration produced by the Institute for Spiritual and Cultural Advancement for the verses that are used. Synopsis Muhammad Messenger of Allah by : Qadi Iyad
Kitab Ash-Shifa bi ta'rif huquq al-Mustafa, (Healing by the recognition of the Rights of the Chosen One), of Qadi 'Iyad (d. 544H/1149CE) is perhaps the most frequently used and commented upon handbook in which the Prophet's, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, life, his qualities and his miracles are described in every detail. Generally known by its short title, Ash-Shifa, this work was so highly admired throughout the Muslim world that it soon acquired a sanctity of its own for it is said: "If Ash-Shifa is found in a house, this house will not suffer any harm... when a sick person reads it or it is recited to him, Allah will restore his health." Ash-Shifa gathers together all that is necessary to acquaint the reader with the true stature of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with the esteem and respect which is due to him, and with the verdict regarding anyone who does not fulfil what his stature demands or who attempts to denigrate his supreme status - even by as much as a nail paring. QADI 'IYAD His full name was Abu al-Fadl 'Iyad ibn Musa ibn 'Iyad ibn 'Imran ibn Musa ibn Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah ibn Musa ibn 'Iyad al-Yahsubi, the famous Imam. He was born in Ceuta in the month of Sha'ban, 496 AH and lived there although his family originated from Andalusia. According to his son, Muhammad, his ancestors originated in Andalusia and then moved to the city of Fes, staying in the Qarawiyyin at some point. 'Imrun moved to Ceuta after having lived in Fes. Qadi 'Iyad was the Imam of his time in hadith and its sciences. He was a scholar of tafsir and its sciences, a faqih in usul, a scholar in grammar, language and Arabic speech, as well as in the battles and lineages of the Arabs. He had insight into judgements and had the legal competence to write contracts. He preserved and knew the Maliki madhhab. He was an excellent poet, familiar with literature and an eloquent orator. He was steadfast, forbearing and a good companion. He was generous and gave a lot of sadaqa. He was constant in action and tenacious in the truth. He died in Marrakesh in the month of Jumada al-Akhira or Ramadan in 544 AH. Synopsis Prayers Upon the Prophet by : Habib Umar Bin Hafiz
In the age that we live in, our days have become our nights, and our nights have become our days wherein we are continually focusing on matters of this temporary life and turning a blind eye to that which matters, such as the teachings of the best of creation, the one who uttered in a supplication: "O Allah, my Nation, my Nation!", the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This compilation is unique in that each form of prayer highlights the connection between the Messenger ﷺ and the Names and Qualities of Allah ﷻ. In addition, each form includes a unique supplication for the one reciting it. The reciter of these prayers thus finds himself engaging in the remembrance of Allah ﷻ by calling Him through His Most Sublime Names, and asking Him to send prayers and increase the honour and rank of the Messenger ﷺ. By doing this, he obtains the virtues and reward of sending prayers upon the Prophet, and also supplicates to Allah, asking Him such amazing things that we are generally unable to think of when asking of Him. The author, Ḥabīb ʿUmar bin Ḥafīẓ, is a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad. ﷺ, and one of the great luminaries of our time. This salawat collection has been made available to English speakers for whom we ask Allah ﷻ to make it a means to attain proximity, in this life and the Hereafter, to Him ﷻ and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Synopsis The Naqshbandi Sufi Tradition Guidebook of Daily Practices and Devotions by : Muhammad Hisham Kabbani
One of the distinguished schools of Islamic spiritual discipline, the Naqshbandi Sufi Order has a long and illustrious history from the first days of Islam. Led by the shaykhs of the Golden Chain-inheritors of spiritual knowledge from Prophet Muhammad-the Naqshbandi Order has always played a central, pivotal role in the life of people in the Muslim world and survived the turmoil and tribulations of the past century to remain one of the few authentic mystical traditions maintaining a living link with its ancient past. The extraordinary vision of the Naqshbandi Saints was manifest in their establishment of fixed devotions and daily practices firmly rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet. These practices have enabled devout seekers to awaken certainty of belief and to attain stations of nearness to the Divine Presence. The renewed prominence of this order at the turn of the 21st century, due to the indefatigable striving of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani, signals an impending change to our society in which aspirants to Divine Service will be granted to transcend the bounds of the physical senses in order to fulfill the unexplored potential in each human heart. The Naqshbandi Devotions are a source of light and energy, an oasis in a worldly desert. Through the manifestations of Divine Blessings bestowed on the practitioners of these magnificent rites, they will be granted the power of magnanimous healing, by which they seek to cure the hearts of mankind darkened by the gloom of spiritual poverty and materialism. We pray that each person who picks up this book of devotions with sincere intention to observe any of its efficacious practices will receive a portion of the blessings and manifestations bestowed on the greatest saints of earlier times.
