Synopsis The Renegade Wizard by : Ashley P. Martin
Deep within his subterranean lair, an evil wizard is plotting his revenge on the kingdom. Bounty Hunters, professional assassins and even the knights of the realm have proved powerless against the wizard, leaving only YOU to stand against him. Use skill and luck to overcome the ancient evils that lurk within the mysterious Temple of the Morrigan, facing fiendish monsters, avoiding deadly traps and solving cunning puzzles to unlock its hidden secrets. Your travels will take you through forests, caves, mountains, underground dungeons and more. But can you succeed where all others have met their doom and defeat THE RENEGADE WIZARD? ADVENTURE BEGINS HERE BOOKS are more than just story books. They are adventure gamebooks played using dice. Each book in the series involves a quest that the main character needs to complete. There are numerous paths that can be taken in order to fulfil the quest, however each path contains different puzzles, items to be found and monsters to be defeated. The gaming system is sophisticated enough to provide the player with choices of how they are going to allocate the limited resources available to acquire equipment such as weapons and armour while being simple enough to allow the reader to start playing the game very quickly. The game system also uses a skills based system which allows the player to choose whether they will focus on magic, combat or stealth. Download and print out an adventure sheet on which to track progress throughout the game, for example recording items that have been acquired. If the main character is defeated before completing the quest, the story will end in a gruesome death scenes. For example: "The cockroach sinks its fangs into your leg. Your wounds are so great that you collapse and, as you lie dying from loss of blood, the cockroaches lay eggs in your motionless body. When they eventually hatch, they consume your dead body from the inside. Your adventure ends here." "An undead priest stabs you with the dagger and blood spurting from the wound, you collapse to the floor. Your body is dragged to the altar and the undead priest uses foul magic to reanimate your corpse. You end your adventure as a mindless zombie in eternal service of an undead priest."

Synopsis Renegade Wizards by : Lucien Soulban
Before the War of the Lance, magic faced and fought its own demise. The Journeyman is charged to use the ancient Anvil of Time to travel back along the river of time and find the lost stories that fell between the pages of the history books. He finds Tythonnia, a young red robe learning magic in company with Ladonna of the black robes and Par-Salian of the white. The three are sent on an easy quest to find the leader of the renegade wizards, a man named Berthal, but if it was that simple, they wouldn't need mages. Instead, what started out easy turns into betrayal - magic against sorcery, the wizards against each other, and Tythonnia against herself. When Berthal finally unleashes his final attack, everyone knows that it won't end that simply.

Synopsis Renegade's Magic by : Robin Hobb
The stirring conclusion to The Soldier Son Trilogy—the acclaimed epic tale of duty, destiny, and magic by New York Times bestselling master fantasist Robin Hobb Loyal, privileged, and brave, Nevare Burvelle proudly embraced his preordained role as soldier in the service of the King of Gernia—unaware of the strange turns his life would ultimately take. Exposed to a plague of enemy sorcery that felled many of his compatriots, he prevailed, but at a terrible cost to his soul, body, and heart. Now he stands wrongly accused of unspeakable crimes—including murder, the most heinous of them all. Condemned by his brother soldiers and sentenced to death, Nevare has no option but to escape. Suddenly he is an outcast and a fugitive—a hostage to the Speck magic that shackles him to a savage alter ego who would destroy everything Nevare holds dear. With nowhere to turn—except, perhaps, to the Speck woman Lisana, the enemy whom he loves—he is mired in soul-rending despair. But from out of the darkness comes a bright spark of hope. Perhaps, somehow, the hated magic that has long abused Nevare can be used by him instead. Could he not learn to wield this mighty weapon for his own purposes rather than be enslaved by it? But down what perilous road will this desperate new quest lead him? And what will be the outcome and the ultimate new incarnation of Nevare Burvelle?

Synopsis Wizard Constable by : Tom Van Natta
Jorac is allergic to magic - it makes him sneeze - but he still takes a job working for the city's overbearing, officious wizards as Wizard Constable - it's his duty, and the pay is better. On his first big assignment in the capital, he encounters cutthroats, slavers, poison frogs, crazed wizards, meets the most beautiful girl in the city in the least likely place, and throws the biggest party the slums of Swampside have ever seen. (Oh, and saves the day, but can't tell anyone.)But no good deed goes unpunished, so regardless of his budding romance he's sent far to the north, as an "observer" with the army trying to put down a minor rebellion. When he discovers a far more ominous force behind the rebels, can he foil the enemy despite the army leaders? He returns to the city (and the girl) with far more than he left with, plus a puzzle he must solve or the kingdom itself could fall. Will Jorac and his friends be able to figure out the threat in time, and can they stop it?Wizard Constable is not stereotypical "epic fantasy", it's a fast-paced, fun adventure story.

Synopsis Wizard in the Woods by : Jeffrey Poole
The villages of Lentari are in big trouble. Dragons have swooped in, inexplicably blasting homes and businesses with fire, nearly burning the town of Verdayn to the ground. No one knows what is behind the attacks—the dragons and humans have been allies for a long time. Suspicions point to an outside force. Something or someone has bewitched the dragons into committing the heinous acts. King Kri’Entu doesn’t quite know where to turn for answers. Until his son volunteers to lead the investigation. Crown Prince Mikal is now a young man, bored with court life and wanting to take an active part in his father’s work. He convinces the king to allow him to travel to Verdayn to find out what happened. His first stop is to speak with the town constable, and Mikal finds himself suddenly enchanted with the constable’s pretty daughter, Lissa. Forcing himself to keep his mind on business, he takes the villagers’ statements and is quickly off to the site of yet another dragon attack. All of this seems to be leading in one direction. There’s a rogue wizard on the loose, and Mikal is stunned to learn the talented conjurer is close to his own age. How did one so young learn the skills to create more complex spells than the elder wizards, and to control creatures as mighty as dragons? And why is he doing this? The quest to find the wizard and to stop the attacks takes Mikal and Lissa, with help from the young dragon, Pravara, into dangerous waters indeed. Newly edited and re-released! * * * Praise for Jeffrey Poole’s epic fantasy novels: “I loved this book. It had so much imagination to it. Great for young and old.” - D. Estrada “There's adventure & a little humor and all the characters are just right. “ - Happy2Day “I especially liked that this story revolved around a husband and wife team, rather than being the typical “hero's journey” of an adolescent boy.” - M.L. “… plenty of action, adventure, and romance, but is harmless enough for pre-teens to read; it is a well-told tale.” – 5 stars on Amazon “If you love wizards, dragons, griffins & such, you have got to read the Bakkian Chronicles!” – 5 stars online review
