Synopsis The Path of Hope by : Monteiro Adelson

The Path of Hope is a play that actually portrays the social reality of the people and how to live in a society where we belong. It is really not a book whose value can be achieved by mere literary analysis. Then, sooner or later, the same book will take its place in American literature and also in the world literature. The reality is that the poor will always remain poor and the rich always rich. Finally, there is always a way of hope to go and that Almighty God is the light of hope to the people who have suffered and been humiliated by mans selfishness in dominating other men to his own detriment.

Synopsis The Path to Hope by : Stephane Hessel

An incisive political tract that calls for a return to humanist values: equality, liberty, a return to community, mutual respect, freedom from poverty, and an end to theocracy and fundamentalism. The authors argue that a return to these values constitutes “a path to hope,” leading the way out of the present worldwide malaise brought on by economic collapse, moral failure, and an ignorance of history. For the authors, 20th-century fascism was no mere abstraction—it was a brutal system brought on by a similar malaise, a system they fought against. The uncertainly of our current political moment gives their book special urgency. The Path to Hope is written by two esteemed French thinkers—Stephane Hessel, editor of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and renowned philosopher and sociologist Edgar Morin. Their writings have become bestsellers throughout Europe, and have also become foundational documents underpinning the worldwide protest movement.

Synopsis Path to Hope: America's New Face by : Patrick Luyeye - Pat

/About The Book Life is the pursuit of happiness, something that is ordained not by men, but bestowed by God. Our Path to hope is our purpose, something we all must discover if we are to truly live up to our potential as human beings. In this book, I will address one of the most pressing concerns facing our country today: Immigration and cultural diversity. One is the problem and the other is the solution. As a citizen of the world, I will use my experiences to show how cultural diversity is not to be feared, but used to benefit us all. In difficult economic times, native citizens will naturally look for scapegoats, and immigrants, both legal and illegal, fit the bill. But if we are to move forward, we need to find ways to allow immigrants to freely contribute to our society in order to solve the problems we accuse them of causing. If we embrace the cultural diversity rather than fight it, we will succeed. In the global economy, we cannot afford to discount such a valuable resource as the many who leave their homes for a better life, fueled by their own Path to Hope. Immigration isn’t the problem, it’s the answer! Even when unemployment is high, millions of jobs remain unfilled 49% of businesses find it hard to fill critical jobs, 15% above the global average. By 2018, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics jobs won’t be filled even if every American graduate with an advanced degree finds employment. Immigrants bring critical skills Construction will add 1.8 million jobs by 2020. 60% of Latino immigrants arrive with a sophisticated knowledge of the trade. 25% of scientists and engineers in the U.S. are foreign-born. Immigrants are 13% of the U.S. population but make up 28% of in-home health workers. Immigrants have higher work force participation rates than those born in the U.S. The U.S. must attract and retain human capital Immigration caps force 20,000 American-educated students to leave the U.S. every year. As the U.S. population ages, unfilled jobs will hinder growth By 2030, the U.S. will need to add 25 million workers to the labor force to sustain current growth. Without immigrants, the U.S. will not have enough new workers to support retirees. More than one-third of the U.S. population growth is attributed to new immigrants. By 2050, 93% of growth in the U.S. working-age population will be due to immigrants and their children. 75% of the foreign-born labor force is in the vital 25-54 year-old category - higher than their U.S.-born counterparts. Multi-lingual immigrants boost trade Every 100 H1-B visas creates 183 jobs for American-born workers. Every 100 H2-B visas creates 464 additional jobs.

Synopsis The Winds of Hope for a World Out of Breath by : Robert G. Tuttle

How can the past speak to the present? How can the ancient make itself known in the contemporary? Many feel that it cannot -- that nothing can be learned from the past - that everything to be learned is in the present and in the future. Perhaps this is where we have missed the true meaning of life. (from chapter 4) Robert G. Tuttle brings the 23rd Psalm to life for the twentieth century Christian. His approach aids study groups, clergy seeking preaching background material, and persons wanting personal devotional reading. The book is filled with countless illustrations in its eight chapters. Chapter titles include: - The Good Shepherd - Finding God In The Narrows Of Life - God's Extravagance - The Final Dimensions Of Life Robert G. Tuttle, Asheville, North Carolina, holds degrees from Duke University and Duke Divinity School. He has served churches in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Synopsis A Trilogy of Hope by : Celia Perryman

Following on from a childhood where I was loved at home, but didnt fit in at school and never really felt like I belonged anywhere, I became depressed and suicidal at age 12 and spent much of my teenage years medicated and in therapy, questioning the point of my existence and wondering whether the world would be better off without me. I wrote my first book, Ive Got Something to Say: Alone and Screaming in the Darkness at the age of 16 because, although I didnt exactly have any answers, I wanted to reach out to others so they wouldnt feel so alone. I decided there and then, that if I ever did find any answers then I would write more books. And that is what I have done. I wrote my second book, Maybe We Are All Relevant: At Times I Can See the Light at the age of 20, and the third and final part of this trilogy, And Now I Know Why: A Life of Sunshine, Storms and Rainbows at the age of 32. I have decided to publish my three books together as A Trilogy of Hope: My Journey Out of the Depths of Teenage Despair, so that I can share my whole journey with you and to give you and others hope in seeing that it really is possible to go from the absolute depths of despair to leading a life in which there is love, light and joy, where I have found some meaning to my existence and all the pain I have been through seems worth it because it has led me to where I am today. I feel honoured to be sharing my story with you and I hope that my words can be of some comfort to you and bring you hope for a happier future. Things will get better. You are going to be okay. I am thinking of you. With love, Celia.
