"The Marbeck Inn" is a coming of age novel about a young man. Sam Branstone was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Far from it, he was a porter's son and his proud parents worked hard to educate the young boy as best as they could. But on a fateful day, he sees a young boy having fallen on the tracks in the path of an oncoming train and Sam leaps into action pulling the boy out of harm's way with no time to spare. His daring rescue of the young boy from imminent death draws the gratitude of the boy's father, a wealthy real estate agent. He has an offer that may yet change the Branstone's fortunes for the better.
