Synopsis The Making of the Apostle by : Roderick L. Evans

The apostle’s ministry comes with authority, power, and the miraculous. This is only a part of the apostle’s ministry. His ministry serves as a reflection of Christ’s ministry to the Church. Consequently, the apostle’s character must be solid. Therefore, God will take the apostles through tests, trials, and temptations in order to prepare them for ministry. The training of an apostle is oftentimes humiliating. God will allow disruption in every area of his life to prepare him for service. Those called to the apostolic office should understand that preparation for ministry is in the development of Christ’s character. If this is done, the apostle will never come behind in any spiritual gift during ministry. In this book, we will discuss how God builds the apostle for ministry.

Synopsis Paul and Jesus by : James D. Tabor

In this “compulsively readable exploration of the tangled world of Christian origins” (Publishers Weekly), religious historian James Tabor illuminates the earliest years of Jesus’ teachings before Paul shaped them into the religion we know today. This fascinating examination of the earliest years of Christianity reveals how the man we call St. Paul shaped Christianity as we know it today. Historians know almost nothing about the two decades following the crucifixion of Jesus, when his followers regrouped and began to spread his message. During this time Paul joined the movement and began to preach to the gentiles. Using the oldest Christian documents that we have—the letters of Paul—as well as other early Christian sources, historian and scholar James Tabor reconstructs the origins of Christianity. Tabor shows how Paul separated himself from Peter and James to introduce his own version of Christianity, which would continue to develop independently of the message that Jesus, James, and Peter preached. Paul and Jesus illuminates the fascinating period of history when Christianity was born out of Judaism.

Synopsis The Making of an Apostle, Volume 3, "Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding" by : Apostle Sharon Loving Ruff

Volume 3, "Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding" shares another captivating glimpse into Apostle Sharon Loving Ruff's 27 year journey as a Black American female God-sent servant in this generation. Every thought-provoking chapter journals a particular experience, revelation, or adventure which occurred as she was sent to convey God's response to specific prayers from His people, or as training for future ministry assignments. Thus, she provides a unique perspective of the heart of God towards humanity: His love, compassion, forgiveness, mercy, grace, as well as, displeasure, chastisement and judgment. Armed with Rhema Words from the mouth of God, Biblical revelation knowledge and spiritual giftings from her Apostolic calling, her journals not only share God's response to various situations but also exposes Satan's deceptive tactics which were used to interfere with or to derail people's ability to reach their next level of development until God sent her to them as His messenger. Thus, her service unto the Lord yields first-hand experience in trying to help individuals escape or avoid pitfalls and dangers from limiting themselves to carnal assumptions. It is not surprising that by unveiling mysteries of God, she shows how God's timing and manner of response to situations is often different than mankind anticipates. Apostle Sharon's inspiring stories also delineate the far-reaching implications of God SENT words: written, visual or audible, and variances in the human struggle to advance beyond carnality into the realm of unlimited divine possibilities. These Rhema writings offer manna from on-high for those seeking greater truths and/or answers to perplexing situation, spiritual growth and maturity, and how to walk in intimacy with the Almighty God, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit.
