Synopsis The Lost Moons of Venus by : Toby Wilde
It is Britain’s darkest hour - the desperate winter of 1940 - standing alone against the all-conquering German army. It is even more so for a dazed young man from the 21st century who is pulled from the rubble of a bombed house at the height of the Blitz. But that’s only the start of his troubles in this alien world. As a WWII history buff his knowledge of the war should be a godsend, yet it proves a curse that changes everything. Aware now of the military disasters ahead and the post- war loss of the Empire, Churchill’s bulldog spirit wavers. His political foes seize the opportunity to topple him from power determined to sue for peace with Germany. If Churchill is ousted, to leave Hitler unopposed, civilisation will be plunged into a new Dark Age under the evil tyranny of the Nazi jackboot In a race literally against time, the young man from the future tries to right the wrong, but it could take more than one lifetime

Synopsis The Moon that Wasn't by : Helge Kragh
The planet Venus is the closest neighbour to the Earth and in several respects similar to our globe. It revolves around the Sun at an average distance of 0. 72 astronomical units, in an elliptical orbit of eccentricity 0. 007. The corresponding 3 numbers for the Earth are 1 and 0. 017. The mean density of Venus is 5. 2 g/cm , 3 that of the Earth 5. 5 g/cm . Venus’ acceleration of gravity at its equator is 8. 9 2 2 m/s , compared with 9. 8 m/s at the Earth. The escape velocity is 10. 4 km/s, while the corresponding ?gure of the Earth is 11. 2 km/s. Although the mass of Venus is somewhat smaller than that of the Earth – the ratio is M /M =0. 815 V E – the diameters of the two planets are almost the same. In other words, Venus is indeed a sister planet of the Earth. In earlier times, when almost nothing was known about the physical con- tions of Venus, the similarity appeared even stronger than today. Not only was Venus’ period of rotation thought to be close to that of the Earth, it was also p- sible (and indeed common) to imagine intelligent life on Venus.

Synopsis Pioneers of Space by : George Adamski
Now with an Historical Afterword by Ron Miller Featured in Ron Millers _The Conquest of Space Book Series.Ó Pioneers of Space (1949) was later reincarnated almost word-for-word as the "non-fiction" Inside the Space Ships, one of the books largely responsible for the UFO craze of the 1950s and 60s. Ghost-written by Adamski acolyte Lucy McGinnis, this novel contains some of the most inept scientific ideas imaginable. In the early 1950s, "Professor" George Adamski laid the groundwork for all subsequent UFO contactees. In Pioneers of Space he created many of the incidents and qualities he later attributed to the "actual" inhabitants of Venus, Mars and Saturn he later claimed to have met. In addition, we get a look at some of the strange "science" this self-proclaimed astronomer believed in. "Facts" such as there must be oxygen in space otherwise the sun could not burn... Synopsis The Lost Science by : M. G. Bucholtz B.Sc MBA
? Can the movements of Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus affect market cycles? ? Are prices swings on the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 a reflection of lunar and planetary placements? Many people are surprised to find that changes in price trends on the financial markets are a reflection of the changing psychological emotions of market participants. Our emotions are impacted by the varying gravitational pulls and energy levels in our planetary cosmos. Scientific techniques such as square root mathematics, the Golden Mean, the Golden Sequence and astrological phenomena like lunar events, planetary transits and planetary aspects can thus be used to identify short term changes in price trend and long term market cycles. In the early part of the 20th century many successful traders on Wall Street, including the venerable W.D. Gann and the mysterious Louise McWhirter understood that emotion was intimately linked to the forces of nature. They used these scientific techniques and astrological phenomena to predict changes to price trend and to profit from the markets. The Lost Science will acquaint you with an extensive range of astrological and mathematical phenomena. From the Golden Mean and Fibonacci Sequence through planetary transit lines and square roots to an examination of lunar astrology, planetary aspects and market cycles, the numerous illustrated examples in this book will assist you to deepen your understanding of the financial markets and make better informed and more timely trading and investing decisions.

Synopsis Worlds in Collision by :
With this book Immanuel Velikovsky first presented the revolutionary results of his 10-year-long interdisciplinary research to the public, founded modern catastrophism - based on eyewitness reports by our ancestors - shook the doctrine of uniformity of geology as well as Darwin's theory of evolution, put our view of the history of our solar system, of the Earth and of humanity on a completely new basis - and caused an uproar that is still going on today. Worlds in Collision - written in a brilliant, easily understandable and entertaining style and full to the brim with precise information - can be considered one of the most important and most challenging books in the history of science. Not without reason was this book found open on Einstein's desk after his death. For all those who have ever wondered about the evolution of the earth, the history of mankind, traditions, religions, mythology or just the world as it is today, Worlds in Collision is an absolute MUST-READ!

Synopsis Forging the Future of Space Science by : National Research Council
From September 2007 to June 2008 the Space Studies Board conducted an international public seminar series, with each monthly talk highlighting a different topic in space and Earth science. The principal lectures from the series are compiled in Forging the Future of Space Science. The topics of these events covered the full spectrum of space and Earth science research, from global climate change, to the cosmic origins of life, to the exploration of the Moon and Mars, to the scientific research required to support human spaceflight. The prevailing messages throughout the seminar series as demonstrated by the lectures in this book are how much we have accomplished over the past 50 years, how profound are our discoveries, how much contributions from the space program affect our daily lives, and yet how much remains to be done. The age of discovery in space and Earth science is just beginning. Opportunities abound that will forever alter our destiny.
