Synopsis The Kingdom at the Centre of the World by : Omair Ahmad
A small, sparsely populated kingdom at the eastern end of the Himalayas, Bhutan is often described as one of the most isolated countries on earth. In this unprecedented portrait an informed and insightful mix of political history and travel writing Omair Ahmad shows that the opposite, in fact, is true. Located at the intersection of several political, cultural and religious currents, Bhutan has been a part of, and been shaped by, some of the most transformative events in Asian and world history. Beginning with Padmasambhavas epic work to establish Buddhism in the Himalayas, The Kingdom at the Centre of the World tells the story of Bhutans emergence as an independent Buddhist nation in the seventeenth century under the Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, who turned his back on Tibet; the exploits of Jigme Namgyal the Black Regent who united Bhutan and fought the armies of British India to a standstill; and the remarkable Wangchuk monarchs, who have ruled Bhutan since the beginning of the twentieth century. Alongside, the book also examines events around Bhutan that have affected it profoundly: the rise and fall of Tibet and the Mongol and British empires; the spread of Nepali-origin people across South Asia; Sikkims dramatic loss of sovereignty; and the conflicting territorial ambitions of India and China. Most fascinating of all, the book argues that it is in Bhutan more, perhaps, than in any other nation that alternative modes of governance and progress are being tested in an increasingly homogenized world. As it chooses Gross National Happiness (GNH) over Gross National Product (GNP), grapples with a complicated refugee crisis, experiments with a guided democracy and tries to retain its cultural heritage while it opens up to the world, Bhutan could have important lessons for us all

Synopsis Dominion! by : C. Peter Wagner
Jesus has mandated his church to actively engage in transforming society on earth--"Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven." But when societal issues and problems loom large, it can seem an impossible task. Offering solid teachings on apostles and prophets, spiritual warfare, the church in the workplace, and much more, C. Peter Wagner shows readers just how kingdom action can change the world. With a sense of mission and urgency, Wagner explores the biblical roots of dominion theology, the views of great Christian thinkers through the ages, the ways Christians are working it out in their lives and on the job, and what each part can do when brought together through the operational power of the Holy Spirit.

Synopsis The MILLENNIUM TOWER (the Kingdom Tower Complex at Riyadh) by : George MALIAKAL
Here is yet another great surprise from me, at 75 yrs of y age. to come up with a revised edition of my earlier book, a Suspense Thriller titled 'The Rising Tower. I titled my book as 'The Rising Tower, because way back in 1998- 99, I had worked as a Project Engineer in a prestigious project -' The Kingdom Tower' , a 300 meter tall Tower Complex, which would be the tallest Tower Complex in the Middle East, which will be called as the Millennium Tower. After working in the project for less than two years, I returned home. Truly, it is the experience and the exposure I gained while working for this project, that inspired me to conceptualize a theme that brings the world Community together. An International Action Group, with their new concept of - 'Fighting for World Peace', in a sudden turn of events, over ten thousand people including men, women and children who were inside the Kingdom Tower Complex, are taken hostages, taking the whole world by surprise. All the events that followed this hostage crisis across the world are described very dramatically in real terms and conveyed through various studio discussions and TV interviews in a most professional manner, by the author. A real Suspense Thriller, where the author make you to keep guessing till the very end. And do you believe the Suspense Thriller I had written in 1999 is still sold as hot cake. I love it. Do You? Take a bite and feel the taste yourself!
