Synopsis The Homoeopathic Recorder, 1889, Vol. 4 by : International Hahnemannian Association
Excerpt from The Homoeopathic Recorder, 1889, Vol. 4: Bi-Monthly The recorder, with this issue, enters upon the fourth year of its existence. Opening, as it did, a new field in our literature, it has steadily advanced in favor, until it now reaches a far greater number of homoeopathic physicians than any other journal in our school of prae tice. This should be an inducement to those physicians who desire that their articles shall reach the greatest number of readers, to lend us their aid by contributions. Articles upon materia medica, and those report ing clinical cases, are particularly desired, especially such as bring before our readers practical illustrations of the utility of our least established remedies. We have many valuable drugs that are little known in practice, many physicians using them and gaining fine results, do not enlighten their brethren through the mediumship of the medical press. It is to those particularly that we appeal. Our materia medica is volu minous, it is true, but it is also extremely valuable. Let us, therefore, bend our eti'orts toward its development rather than its enlargement. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Synopsis The Homoeopathic Recorder, 1920, Vol. 35 (Classic Reprint) by : International Hahnemannian Association
Excerpt from The Homoeopathic Recorder, 1920, Vol. 35 Furthermore, there may be individuals possessing a knowl edge of truths, the substance of which has not, as yet, been demonstrated, -as was the case with John Kepler, who possessed a knowledge of the laws governing the planetary movements, years before he proved it mathematically; the same was no less true of Sir Isaac Newton and the laws of gravitation. The lack of proof in the existence of a certain truth does not prove its non-existence. There must be positive proof that it is an untruth; in other words, proof by elimination. This method of elimination is accepted as the ideal plan to follow, in the solution of problems generally and of medical ones in particular. Synopsis The Homoeopathic Recorder, 1912, Vol. 27 (Classic Reprint) by : International Hahnemannian Association
Excerpt from The Homoeopathic Recorder, 1912, Vol. 27 Is not that a startling, almost stunning, conclusion to go forth from a great medical centre? Sir Henry's allusion to Genesis suggests that if God' breathed into man the breath of life, He must continue to do so just as the sun continually makes natural life possible on this globe; that with the breath of life mankind (adam) became living creatures, with freedom to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil - and take the consequences. Synopsis The Homeopathic Recorder, 1899, Vol. 14 by : International Hahnemannian Association
Excerpt from The Homeopathic Recorder, 1899, Vol. 14: MonthlyMedical students come together from every walk of life; they assemble by hundreds, and for four long years pursue with all their energy lines of special study. The farmers' sons fresh from the district schools, young school teachers, sons and brothers of physicians in practice, college graduates, clerks in stores, mechanics, professional men, young men of wealth and leisure and those for whom life is a constant struggle, young married men who feel the need of all earnestness in this new field, and the young man about town to whom the study of medicine comes more as a distraction than a life-work, all these classes, and many others, make up the bulk of the students in our medical schools and colleges, and are destined in turn to become the physicians and surgeons of the future, just as our present practitioners have come forth in past years in the same manner and from the same sources.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
