The clarity of Rima Handley's careful and fascinating research allows us to see homeopathy as its founders saw it, from within their own time and without the dogma or interpretations of the gurus which have colored it since. This book is a must for any lover of biography as well as anyone interested in the history of medicine or homeopathy.

Like many other American medical schools, Hahnemann has had its share of problems, financial and otherwise. The civil rights and radical student movements of the 1960s and 1970s, however, pushed the College into a more politically conscious view of itself as a health care provider to the inner city and as a producer of health professionals.
