Synopsis DELHI RIOTS: Conspiracy Unravelled (Prabhat Prakashan) by : Aditya Bhardwaj

The Truth of Delhi Riots is Unearthing Gradually “As per our plan, on February 24 we called several people and told them how stones, petrol bombs and acid bottles are to be thrown. I shifted my family to another place. At about 1.30 p.m. in the afternoon on February 24 we began pelting stones.” Only those who are not familiar with the real face of the Aam Aadmi Party will be surprised or shocked by the above statements made by the now expelled counsellor Tahir Hussain. The Aam Aadmi Party used its network of people associated with mosques and madarsas and relied on leaders such as Tahir Hussain and Amanat Ulla Khan to bag the Muslim votes in Delhi. In return for the votes, it seems that the party gave the license to a specific community to consign north east Delhi to flames. Now that the chargesheet has been finalised by the Delhi Police about the riots that took place in East Delhi, it will be a fallacy to disassociate the riots that took place in places such as Jafrabad, Maujpur, Babarpur, Gokul Puri, Karawal Nagar, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar from the violence that took place during the anti-CAA protests. The violence that occurred during the anti-CAA protests in places such as Shaheen Bagh, Jamia Nagar, Seelampur were actually the precursor to a big riot. The riot that took place in the north-east parts of Delhi during US President Donald Trump's visit from February 23-26, 2020. For the violence that was orchestrated during these riots, the work of collecting empty bottles, stones and storing these on rooftops of houses had begun on February 4. Many people of the Muslim community had filled petrol in their vehicles so that this fuel could later be used for making petrol bombs. In many Muslim families, pamphlets about such riots were distributed with instructions on how to deal with Hindus. It is not rocket science to understand that the Muslim community was already prepared for the riots that broke out in north-east Delhi. Hindus did not get a chance to get their act together. Slowly the conspiracy behind the riots is unraveling and the lies perpetrated by the Communist ecosystem are falling flat. "DELHI RIOTS: Conspiracy Unravelled" by Aditya Bhardwaj / Ashish Kumar Anshu: Authored by Aditya Bhardwaj and Ashish Kumar Anshu, this book appears to be a work of investigative journalism that delves into the Delhi riots, aiming to unravel the alleged conspiracy behind the violent events. It may provide a detailed account of the incidents, key players, and their motivations. Key Aspects of the Book "DELHI RIOTS: Conspiracy Unravelled": Investigative Reporting: Aditya Bhardwaj and Ashish Kumar Anshu likely offer an in-depth investigation into the Delhi riots, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes developments. Synopsis The Production of Hindu-Muslim Violence in Contemporary India by : Paul R. Brass

Chronic Hindu-Muslim rioting in India has created a situation in which communal violence is both so normal and so varied in its manifestations that it would seem to defy effective analysis. Paul R. Brass, one of the world’s preeminent experts on South Asia, has tracked more than half a century’s riots in the north Indian city of Aligarh. This book is the culmination of a lifetime’s thinking about the dynamics of institutionalized intergroup violence in northern India, covering the last three decades of British rule as well as the entire post-Independence history of Aligarh. Brass exposes the mechanisms by which endemic communal violence is deliberately provoked and sustained. He convincingly implicates the police, criminal elements, members of Aligarh’s business community, and many of its leading political actors in the continuous effort to “produce” communal violence. Much like a theatrical production, specific roles are played, with phases for rehearsal, staging, and interpretation. In this way, riots become key historical markers in the struggle for political, economic, and social dominance of one community over another. In the course of demonstrating how riots have been produced in Aligarh, Brass offers a compelling argument for abandoning or refining a number of widely held views about the supposed causes of communal violence, not just in India but throughout the rest of the world. An important addition to the literature on Indian and South Asian politics, this book is also an invaluable contribution to our understanding of the interplay of nationalism, ethnicity, religion, and collective violence, wherever it occurs.

Synopsis When a Tree Shook Delhi by : HS Phoolka

It stands out even in a country inured to mass violence - 3,000 members of a minority community slaughtered over three days in 1984, right in India's capital. Twenty-three years on, neither the organizers of the massacre nor the state players who facilitated it have been punished, despite prolonged inquiries and trials. This massacre of Sikhs in the wake of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assassination has turned out to be a reality check on India's much touted institutions of the rule of law. The book seeks to uncover the truth on the basis of the evidence that came to light during the proceedings of the latest judicial inquiry conducted by the Nanavati Commission. Authors Manoj Mitta and H.S. Phoolka, perhaps the most knowledgeable voices on the subject, present an unsparing account, abounding with insights and revelations, on the 1984 carnage and its aftermath.

Synopsis 1984 by : Sanjay Suri

A chilling eyewitness account of the anti-Sikh violence Sanjay Suri was a young crime reporter with The Indian Express newspaper in New Delhi when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her bodyguards on 31 October 1984. He was among the few journalists to experience the full horror of the anti-Sikh violence that followed and carried on unchecked for the next couple of days, while the police looked the other way.He saw a Congress MP demanding the release of party workers who had been arrested for loot. He had a narrow escape from a gang of killers while out reporting. He later filed affidavits that included eyewitness accounts relating to two Congress MPs, and confronted former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at an election rally. Suri also testified before several commissions of inquiry set up to investigate the massacres---though very little came of these. In this book, he brings together a wealth of fresh revelations, arising from his own experiences, and from extensive interviews with police officers then in the front line of facing the violence. Humane but chilling, Suri's account is backed by a thorough examination of existing records and the provisions of the Indian legal system.Taking a close look at the question of the Congress hand behind the brutalities and why the survivors continue to wait for justice even thirty years later, 1984: The Anti-Sikh Violence and After remains urgent even today. It combines expert reportage with gripping recollections to tell a riveting story, leaving us disturbed and moved in equal measure.
