This engaging book reproduces over 100 letters from famous 19th and 20th century painters in Paris, including Monet, Renoir, Manet, Picasso, and Cassatt. With each letter is a transcription, English translation, a work of art by each artist, and their portrait. Additionally, each letter has been analyzed by a handwriting expert. The letters are from the collection of Pierre F. Simon, now in the New York Public Library.
