Synopsis Diary of an Oxygen Thief by : Anonymous
Hurt people hurt people. Say there was a novel in which Holden Caulfield was an alcoholic and Lolita was a photographer’s assistant and, somehow, they met in Bright Lights, Big City. He’s blinded by love. She by ambition. Diary of an Oxygen Thief is an honest, hilarious, and heartrending novel, but above all, a very realistic account of what we do to each other and what we allow to have done to us.

Synopsis My Anonymous Lover by : S.E. Law
Ginny: I can’t believe I’m being so bad. Most women wouldn’t go near a truck stop glory hole, but I’m not most women. After all, I’m a female trucker who breaks barriers in a male-dominated industry. Even more, I like to enjoy myself on the road … anonymously, while on my knees. Jeremiah: As an aspiring politician, there are things I need to keep secret, and one of those is my penchant for truck stop rest areas. It’s not just the greasy cheeseburgers and Big Gulps that attract me. It’s the illicit fun that takes place in certain unmarked areas, and in spite of my political ambitions … I can’t resist the bodacious curvy girl who makes me feel good. This is a follow-up to Claiming His Cheerleader. In this story, Ginny and Jeremiah meet at a truck stop rest area, but somehow, their anonymous fun blossoms and flowers to become something much, much more. But will their spicy shenanigans destroy Jeremiah’s burgeoning political career? Read and find out! No cheating, no cliffhangers and always a HEA for my readers.

Synopsis The Crommelynck Mystery by : Alain Piette
In this book, the authors examine the works of Fernand Crommelynck (1886-1970), whose international reputation was established in 1922, when his most important and most popular play, The Magnanimous Cuckold, was presented in Moscow. Torn between the extremes of laughter and sorrow, frequently violent and visionary, Crommelynck's work is typically Flemish (though written in French), not least in its preoccupation with sin. Pain is always present in his plays, the pain felt by characters living in a world where happiness is destroyed by irrationalism, self-deception, and obsession. Crommelynck's plays humorously show us how human behavior can be dominated by extreme expressions of emotion or desire. The mixture of buffoonery and tragedy characteristic of his theater extends also to his prose style, which presents the most outrageous or gross situations in a language of beautifully sensuous imagery.

Synopsis Verses Against the Darkness by : Greg Dawes
Verses Against the Darkness: offers a new assessment of Pablo Neruda's poetry by looking at the intersection of his aesthetic method and political radicalism from 1925 to 1954. It challenges the canonical view that Neruda was a gifted verse maker who, in 1936, let himself be carried away by the excesses of communist politics. Instead, by focusing primarily on Tercera residencia (1935-1945), Greg Dawes argues for an uneven yet steady evolution and continuity in Neruda's work, politics, and morality. Dawes relies on historical accounts, biographies, literary history, and criticism - and on Neruda's political and aesthetic theory - to prove that his poetry became, contrary to received critical opinion, more sophisticated literarily and politically as he became more radicalized during the Spanish Civil War and World War II and as he developed his dialectical realism or guided spontaneity. Greg Dawes is Associate Professor of Latin American and World Literatures at North Carolina State University and is the editor of the on-line journal A contracorriente.

Synopsis A Commentary on Virgil's Eclogues by : Andrea. Cucchiarelli
"The date of the Eclogues is much debated.* A preliminary distinction is in order: that between the composition of the individual poems (which, at least in certain cases, were doubtless read immediately and circulated within a restricted group around the poet) and the publication of the final collection. There are only two obvious clues to the dating of the book: the land confiscations in the territory of Cremona and Mantua, which peaked in the aftermath of the battle of Philippi (though continuing during the early 30s BCE: cf. E. 1 and 9), and the consulship of Asinius Pollio, in 40 BCE (E. 4)"--
