Synopsis The 2019 San Francisco 49ers Complete Offensive Manual by : Bobby Peters
Kyle Shanahan is considered one of the top offensive minds in all of football. His system stresses every defender on the field, in every direction. With a heavy emphasis on the techniques, teaching, and theory behind the offense, this book takes readers through each concept in Shanahan's extensive playbook. The roots of his system are from his father, Mike Shanahan, and mentor Gary Kubiak. His offense goes much further beyond that, as he has expanded his drop back pass aersonal over the years to make one of the most quarterback friendly schemes while relentlessly attacking the defense. He is one of the best coaches at getting receivers open early in a quarterback's progression, often using play action to isolate certain defenders. This is crtical not only for the quarterback, but it makes the offensive line's job much easier. The 49ers also boast one of the most diverse and effective running games in all of football. Shanahan took the outside zone base of the system and expanded it to have answers for every defense. This book breaks each one down, and diagrams each against the commonly used defenses they faced. Included are the minor tweaks and variations for each concept game planned each week that often generated big plays.

Synopsis Breaking Down the 2018 L. A. Rams Offense by : Taylor Kolste
The turnaround of the Los Angeles Rams under head coach, Sean McVay, has been truly remarkable. The Rams went from 4-12 in 2016 with, statistically, the worst offense in the NFL in nearly every category to winning a NFC West championship at 11-5, while featuring one of the most dynamic offenses in the league the next season under McVay. In McVay's second season, the Rams again won the NFC West and made their 4th Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. The goal of this book is to take an in-depth look at the schemes that helped the Rams be successful in the 2018 season with the purpose being so that other coaches can learn and use that knowledge to increase their own teams' chances of success. While this book will focus on the Rams' scheme, it would be incomplete without discussing McVay's character and leadership that have helped him be successful as a coach, and the culture that he and his staff have created. The first chapter of this book will look at McVay's character and leadership and the Rams' culture based on the information available online. The rest of the book will then be dedicated to analyzing the Rams' offensive scheme.

Synopsis Breaking Down the 2018 Kansas City Chiefs Offense by : Taylor Kolste
The 2018 Kansas City Chiefs posted historically great offensive numbers. The Chiefs ranked 1st in the NFL in terms of points per game, total yards per game, and yards per play. The 2018 season was the culmination of Andy Reid's progressive blending of the west coast offense with 'spread' concepts more popular at the college level combined with an influx of high-level talent such as Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce (just to name a few). The goal of this book is to take an in-depth look at the schemes that helped the Chiefs be successful in the 2018 season with the purpose being so that other coaches can learn and use that knowledge to increase their own teams' chances of success. This book will focus on the schemes utilized by the Chiefs in the 2018 season; however, it will also look at how Reid's character and leadership has led to the development of these schemes.

Synopsis Organizational Behavior in Sport Management by : Christopher R. Barnhill
This textbook presents a comprehensive analysis of organizational behavior in sport organizations from a practitioner's perspective. It covers issues related to managing employees and work teams as well as organizational structure and culture in sport. The book has four sections: Organizational Behavior in the Sports Industry, Getting to Know Employees and Volunteers of Sport Organizations, Work Groups and Teams, and Understanding the Organization. Each chapter begins with a practitioner interview describing a challenge that was overcome by their organization. That example is used to highlight applicable theories and interventions used in the industry. Additional examples or theories are discussed to provide students a broad picture of managerial issues in the sports industry and provide alternative approaches to intervention illustrated in the practitioner interview. The case studies offer the opportunity to practice and apply the ideas to real-world scenarios in the sports industry. Students using this book will gain an understanding of how managers and leaders apply theory to communicate with and engage employees to foster desired organizational cultures while being challenged to address common issues using cases and hypothetical situations.
