Synopsis That Knight Who Rides by : M. E. Busch

What's my tale about? It about the time I got turned into a horse-obviously I got better! Otherwise, I couldn't write it all down, could I? You've never tried writing with a hoof, but I have. It's hard. At the time, I was a squire of a knight named Sir Branagan-only he was a woman. No, not really. He got put into the body of a young woman named Gwendolyn and she got put into his body. How? A witch cursed us all. Lovely things, witches are. The witch had a good laugh of it-but she's not laughing now. How did it all work out? You'll have to read it to find out, won't you? Things had a tendency to turn a bit humorous, as you can imagine; what with a man in a woman's body, a woman in a man's body, and a talking horse. Do I miss being a horse? What kind of question is that? I miss being a horse about as much as I miss having a disease that makes your eyes fall out. Sorry, that was harsh. As you can see I'm rather touchy on the subject. Well then, want to hear my tale? Go on, give it a listen.

Synopsis Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (A New Verse Translation) by :

One of the earliest great stories of English literature after ?Beowulf?, ?Sir Gawain? is the strange tale of a green knight on a green horse, who rudely interrupts King Arthur's Round Table festivities one Yuletide, challenging the knights to a wager. Simon Armitrage, one of Britain's leading poets, has produced an inventive and groundbreaking translation that " helps] liberate ?Gawain ?from academia" (?Sunday Telegraph?).
