Synopsis Thanksgiving Daddy by : Rachel Lee
A one-night stand between a SEAL and an air force major results in a holiday baby in New York Times bestselling author Rachel Lee's new addition to the popular miniseries CONARD COUNTY: THE NEXT GENERATION Honor, duty and loyalty drove Major Edith Clapton to risk her life flying Combat Search and Recovery in Afghanistan. Hunger, desire and lust drove her into the arms of Seth Hardin, a gorgeous navy SEAL she had airlifted to safety. Their epic one-night stand in the shadow of the Afghan mountains has left Edie facing the most important mission of her life: motherhood. After sharing her news, Edie is stunned by Seth's insistence on being a father to his child--and the bewildering feelings this practical stranger has stirred within her. This wasn't part of her life-in-the-navy plan Should she flee back to military life for a desk job and single parenthood? Or give thanks for this unexpected family?

Synopsis Pittsburgh Dad by : Chris Preksta
When Pittsburgh Dad debuted on YouTube, creators Chris Preksta and Curt Wootton little suspected their sitcom would receive more than sixteen million views and turn their blue-collar everyman into a nationally known figure. Illustrated with hilarious black-and-white photos, Pittsburgh Dad shares the best of the best, from rants about swimming pool rules to reflections on coaching little league to curmudgeonly movie reviews. With its heavy dose of nostalgia and pitch-perfect sensibility, Pittsburgh Dad will have readers laughing in recognition, especially those who love recent blockbusters like Sh*t My Dad Says and Dad Is Fat.

Synopsis Daddy's Promise by : Brendan T. Hoffman
I was with her twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for the last ten months of her life. The conversations we had were priceless. The promises I made to her I am still fulfilling. Dawn definitely made me a stronger person. She taught me so many things about life, about myself, but also about others. After she was diagnosed, Dawn saw things as they were and not as she wished them to be, and slowly but surely she began putting things in order. Yes, this cancer is going to end my life here on earth several years sooner than if I didnt have it. Though it wont take away what I have. I have a loving father and best friend. I have Cathy, my wonderful mother by marriage. I have my mother and Kristie who I love so very much. I have the two most beautiful children in the world in Tyler and Jordan. I have peace with God and myself. I also have something that is so important to me: I have love from all those I just mentioned. They love me. So you see, cancer didnt win. It can never take what I have. Please understand that I havent given up on a miracle nor have I given up on life here on earth. I wont live my life waiting on a miracle. Im going to live my life as if I dont need a miracle. I wont live my life in fear of death. Im going to live my life as if I have nothing to fear. Yes, I will do whatever it takes to live. Im going to do my best to do what it takes to be happy not depressed. So yes, I hate that I have cancer, although I love my life and those who are in it and make it what it is.

Brant—single father of a six-year-old daughter—was not available for comment. Tyler Brant has no intention of speaking to reporters. And while he's happy that Kristen Kellar is recovering, he wishes she wouldn't keep telling people he's a hero. All he wants is to put the crash behind him, get on with his life, spend more time with his daughter. Still, he can't forget the beautiful woman he'd carried from the wreck. Unfortunately, Kristen's big news—and Tyler has reason to stay away. But he hadn't counted on Kristen's determination to thank him in person. And he hadn't counted on his little girl's growing attachment to her. He certainly hadn't counted on falling in love….

Synopsis The Biggest Moonshiner by : Betty M. Rafter
The Biggest Moonshiner is a story of unconditional love, triumph over hate, forgiveness, and redemption. It's a memoir with bits of history during the hard-scrabble life of the author and her eleven siblings growing up during the Depression in the Glades of South Florida with, allegedly, "the biggest moonshiner on the East Coast" and their faith-based mama. It tells of their mama's struggle to keep the family together and life lessons the author and her siblings gleaned from adversity: while hiding out in the woods with their parents, Urbie and Leila Meeks; when they were running from the Feds, picking cotton in Alabama while on the run, living in a tent and picking other crops with migrants; and during their time living in an orphanage. Leila never lost her faith in God or her unconditional love for their hardworking, optimistic, and fun-loving daddy, who made every challenge a fun adventure—even when he got drunk and abused her and sometimes the kids or when they were homeless after he lost their home and business gambling or when she had to feign for herself and six kids when he went to prison for making moonshine. When a tragedy brought about the death of Leila and her unborn child, the siblings struggled to work through the fog of pain, knowing they had to put their anger and hate aside and forgive, if they were going to fulfill their mama's last request: "To get along with your daddy, and keep the kids together."
