Synopsis The Transition by : Paul Huddleston

This book was about my life and how it inspired me to become a writer and author. It also taught me to believe in myself and to tell other that anything is possible. Sometimes it may not happen immediately, but just believe in yourself and have faith and trust and that it will fall into place at some point in your life. For me, it took having the right people, at the right time for this to happen but it took self-confidence also. You will have ups and downs in your life and bounce back. Take nothing for granted and appreciate everything you have. It may not seem like a lot, or fair, but improve each and every day and your life will turn for the better. Just as it did for me at the age of 46. I am looking forward to the rest of my life and you should too Stay Positive.

Synopsis Out of the Ashes by : Rita Silvestri

April 2, 2009, began as every spring day does in southern Utah. The sun was bright, warm, and welcoming. The temperature would rise into the high eighties. Winds blew soft and warm, much warmer than expected in April. The roses along the patio were in full bloom, a perfect day. At noon, it became too warm for the four dogs to stay outdoors, so they all came through the open doors of the dining room to lie down in the family room, where Dad slept in his leather chair. While this went on, the painter was bringing in bathroom doors, which he had refinished with clear lacquer, to begin mounting them to the cabinet frames. The master bath renovation was complete except for one door, which needed a screw to be tightened. Two five-gallon containers of lacquer sat beside him on the floor as he started on his electric drill to tighten the screw. The explosion rocked the house, part of the roof blew off, and flames shot thirty-five feet into the air, sucking all the oxygen out of the room. It was twelve thirty. Nate jumped up from his rest, running to help the painter. Rita grabbed the fire extinguisher, only to find that it was inadequate for the job at hand. She dialed 911 as she herded the dogs from the house. Collette panicked and ran back in. There were two cats to save as well from the office. The smoke dropped low, making the rescue difficult. After what seemed an eternity, fire trucks began to arrive, nine in all. By five that day, the fire became national news. Thus began a seven-month miracle journey home led by two white doves from heaven. I hope this will capture the attention of readers. I learned to call this a hook when I wrote my first book. Hopefully, the last sentence will do just that. Please let me know that this arrived. Thank you, Rita.

Synopsis Feeling Left Behind by : Kim Murdock

2020 Colorado Authors' League Finalist 2020 Book Excellence Awards Finalist "Kim's words, ripped from her diary, are raw, painting a picture of the excruciating anguish that so many left behind by the physical departing of a loved one express." —Duck White-Petteruti, Founder, Domus Pacis Family Respite "It will give you, the reader, permission to remember, never forget, and to slowly live from the place of heart again." —Patty L. Luckenbach, MA, DD, associate minister and author of I Only Walk On Water When It Rains The grief that accompanies the loss of a loved one is crippling. In Feeling Left Behind, author Kim Murdock relates and empathizes with that pain because she’s been there. She knows what it feels like to be woefully blindsided by music or at the grocery store, to reconsider the future alone, and to connect with a person who is no longer alive. You will relate to her chapters as she describes: • The crushing desire to freeze time and isolate yourself • The unstable phase of “firsts”― first holidays, birthdays, anniversaries • The anger and sadness at seeing other couples • The loss of self, empathy, security, and tolerance • The heartbreaking sadness of getting rid of their belongings • And so much more This is not a step-by-step guide on how to grieve. Kim outlines every detail of her experience as well as the experiences of her widow/widower friends to show you that you are not alone. You are normal. And you deserve as much time as possible to figure out how to survive in your own way. "Kim's words, ripped from her diary, are raw, painting a picture of the excruciating anguish that so many left behind by the physical departing of a loved one express." —Duck White-Petteruti, Founder, Domus Pacis Family Respite
