Tar Heel Tales is a collection of eighteen fascinating short stories concerning all kinds of people and situations in North Carolina by H. E. C. Bryant, better known as Red Buck. Bryant visited every part of North Carolina and, in his travels over the state, resulted in several captivating stories of human interest, portraying life and nature as he found it.
