Synopsis “Take Courage, O Jerusalem...” by : Géza G. Xeravits
the volume researches Baruch chapters 4–5 in the following successive steps. The first step is a structural analysis of the three different units of the chapters, 4:5–29; 4:30–5:6; 5:7–9, during which the structure of the greater units (strophes, cantos) will be investigated, together with the structural relationship of these units with each other. After this, the biblical background of the passages is explored. The Scriptural passages that prove to be authoritative or influential for the author(s) of the Baruch passages give clues as to the particular interest and intention of the author(s). This step is supplemented by an inquiry into the tradition historical background of the prophetic psalms. Finally, I close this short monograph with some basic comments on several formative issues of Baruch 4:5–5:9. The book is written for the interest of scholars of Second Temple Judaism, biblical interpretation, and the effective history of Scripture.

Synopsis Take Courage - Bible Study Book by : Jennifer Rothschild
Study the Book of Haggai to learn lessons from the ancient Israelites, who returned home from captivity to find their land and homes in shambles. They attempted to reconstruct the temple, however, they became discouraged and quit. Haggai challenged them to consider their priorities and get back to work. Like the Israelites, sometimes we find ourselves in transition, with wrecked lives and little hope. This study will challenge us to take courage, rebuild what is broken, and rise to be the women God calls us to be. (7 sessions) Features: Leader helps to guide questions and discussions within small groups Personal study segments to complete between 7 weeks of group sessions Interactive teaching videos, approximately 25 minutes per session, for purchase or rent Benefits: Defeat discouragement with God's presence, people, and Word. Choose devotion to God over promotion of self. See beyond your current circumstances to a future in Christ.

Synopsis The Book on Leadership by : John F. MacArthur
More than ever, people are talking about leadership. But much of today's discourse is advancing the same old misconceptions. In The Book on Leadership, best-selling author, pastor, and teacher John MacArthur sets the record straight: Leadership does not come from a job title. It isn't a matter of personality or charisma. And it isn't the same thing as iron-fisted authority. True leadership?the kind that refuses to bend to a shifting, fickle world?comes from a much deeper source. Based on the writings of one of the most effective spiritual leaders of all time?the apostle Paul?MacArthur presents the "26 Characteristics of a True Leader." Whether you are a business leader, civic leader, church leader, parent, teacher, or student, the life of Paul will empower you to unleash your own capacity for leadership.

Synopsis Jerusalem by : Jay Sekulow
In his new book, New York Times bestselling author Jay Sekulow presents a political and historical rationale for the existence of Israel as a sovereign nation. The State of Israel and its very right to exist is a lynchpin issue not only in the Middle-East, but is a critical issue to the world at large. Whether it is the blatant and stated desire of ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, or Iran to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, or the more subtle but equally insidious aim to delegitimize Israel's existence through efforts at UNESCO, the goal is the same-to get rid of Israel. Here is the book that defends, Israel's right to exist as a sovereign nation. As Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice, Jay Sekulow has fought with Israel hand-in-hand in some of Israel's most strategic, international battles. Now, he has pulled together the definitive and comprehensive look at Israel-one of the world's most controversial nations- and its importance to us as Americans and as a key focal point to the future of the world. He looks at the legal case for its prominence, as well as the historical and political rationale for its existence as a sovereign nation and homeland for Jews today, and encourages readers to stand with him against the hatred, lies, and efforts to delegitimize one of the world's oldest nations.
