The third International Symposium on Materials and Sustainable Development ISMSD2017 (CIMDD2017) will include a 2-day Conferences (07 & 08 November). Organized by the Research Unit: Materials, Processes and Environment and University M'hamed Bougara of Boumerdes, this symposium follows the success of CIMDD 2013-2015 and continues the traditions of the highly successful series of International Conferences on the materials, processes and Environment. The proceedings of this zeolite scientific meeting reflect the growing drive to discover new materials. It is evident that zeolite materials science is in a post-ZSM-5 period - pushed by a massive expansion of new compositions and topologies, and the application of new scientific tools. Four new zeolite topologies were detailed at this meeting. Important new trends were the resurgence of interest in computational and theoretical approaches to explain synthesis, sorption and catalytic data, and the increasing use of NMR and high-resolution imaging.

Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, Synthesis and Engineering of Biomaterials, Application of Biomaterials, Theoretical Modeling of Materials and Advanced Methods for Synthesis and Processing present only some of those exciting topics that will be given the central stage and most attention during this meeting. The conference is free of charge and the participants are invited to submit their papers to the journals Tehnika – Novi Materijali and Hemijska Industrija. The Ninth Young Researchers' Conference Materials Science and Engineering was held in Belgrade, Serbia, on December 20-22, 2010.
