The second play, Solid Seasons, is set in Henry David Thoreau's cabin at Walden Pond on July 4th, 1847, as Emerson attempts to persuade his protege to leave Walden and return to Concord. Synopsis One Ball Each by : Rob Dames

ONE BALL EACH is a darkly, comic novel inside the television sitcom business. At forty Mike Lynch is considered over-the-hill in comedy circles. To add to his woes, his trophy wife is cheating on him with someone who can help her career more. Mike has fallen into a black pit called Hollywood and his fight to escape takes us behind the scenes on a network sitcom, into the executive offices of studios and networks where we meet the bizarre and demented people who make the decisions that become television series. This story is dark and nasty and pretty damned close to the truth.

(Applause Books). Curtain Times is a uniquely comprehensive, uniquely detailed and uniquely contemporaneous history of the New York theater in the seasons from 1964-65 up to 1987. This is a collection of more than two decades of annual critical surveys (originally published in the Best Plays series of yearbooks) in a single volume. Each of these surveys is a report and criticism of a whole New York theater season: its hits and misses onstage and off, its esthetic innards. Each is a comprehensive overview which takes in every play, musical, specialty and revival, foreign and domestic, produced on and off Broadway during the theater season. Hardcover.
