Synopsis Multidisciplinary Approach in Health: New Strategies from the Perspective of Education, Management, Culture and Gender by : Sagrario Gomez-Cantarino
Gender and culture are the foundations of individual and social identity, which influence the environment at all levels of health care. According to historical and cultural patterns, people learn to relate to their bodies. This situation reveals contrasts in the way bodily functions, and thus health and illness, are conceptualized, used, and valued. In fact, a person's sexuality covers a particularly conflictive field, as it focuses on aspects defined as basic, constructed according to sociocultural concepts, and, therefore, modifiable. Therefore, health promotion understood as a proposal for empowering individuals, families, and communities about their perception of their life and health within their cultural, ethnic, religious, and care context, and influenced by their state of health, becomes important. To this end, we propose the adoption of transdisciplinary approaches that prioritize relational analysis studies in the context of health scenarios for the development of public policies framed in the culture of care, its evolution, economy, and management, highlighting the gender perspective.

Synopsis Revolution - Sex,Gender and Spirituality - Love Set Free by : Richard Bruvoll Jr.
“Did you know that religion, whether you`re religious or not, is the single topic that has had the most profound impact on the species of human-beings?” (David Fontana). Reading this book, you will be reminded of the human madness and frequently evil attitudes and actions throughout recorded history. Much of it probably unknown to many of you. Our time`s narratives have become cultural “truths”, as so many times before in our history. I would recommend that you read about key conceptual explanations and models in Part I before embarking on the journey through this dramatic history of humanity. Disclamer: This book is not recommended for people with high blood-pressure, especially if you are an extreme left-wing Darwinist or an extreme right-wing Abrahamist. You`ve hereby been warned. Have a good read and learning-experience! Especially the NDE`s “Life-review stage”, or more precisely “The Life-relive stage”, as the psychologist and researcher Kenneth Ring puts it. This stage resembles both Dante`s inferno and the biblical purgatory, but with a very interesting twist to it. This stage is also the route to go in order to prevent aggressive behavior on all levels. The NDE Code (connecting the dots) Richard Bruvoll Jr Blokus Denmark July 2020.

Synopsis Social Psychology and Health by : Wolfgang Stroebe
Which behavior patterns are detrimental to one's health? Which mechanisms mediate the impact of stressful events on health? Stroebe and Stroebe explore such questions and offer an integrative approach that combines psychological, economic, and environmental interventions to reduce behavioral risk factors. This unique approach moves away from purely biomedical models of illness and addresses two major factors detrimental to health and well-being: (1) health-impairing behaviors and (2) stressful life events.

Synopsis WISC-IV Advanced Clinical Interpretation by : Lawrence G. Weiss
For both experienced psychologists and graduate students, WISC-IV Advanced Clinical Interpretation moves quickly through the essentials of WISC-IV interpretation and onto an insightful analysis of the major cognitive domains assessed by WISC-IV. It is the intention of the editors to raise the standard of practice from a simplistic 'test-label-place' model to a clinical model of assessing to understand and intervene. In the first chapter, the reader is presented with a comprehensive array of societal and home environment factors for which there is empirical evidence indicating their impact on the development of children's cognitive abilities, and ultimately their scores on intelligence tests. Subsequent chapters address issues related to the assessment of cognitive abilities that compose 'g', with special emphasis on the clinical correlates of working memory and processing speed from both neuropsychological and cognitive information processing perspectives. Each new chapter builds on material presented in previous chapters and progresses the reader purposefully through deeper levels of understanding of WISC-IV and cognitive assessment in general. Two chapters explicate the processing approach to interpretation that is the corner stone of the WISC-IV Integrated. A further chapter addresses the interpretation of WISC-IV findings within the context of other instruments as part of a full psychological evaluation. The final chapter provides an extensive case example of how to write psychological evaluation reports from a child-centered rather than a score-centered perspective that can have transforming impact on parents and teachers approach to the child. Overall, these four authors are the architects of a masterful new book on advanced WISC-IV interpretation from a clinical perspective, Together with the complimentary book, WISC-IV Clinical Assessment and Intervention, Second Edition these books provide the complete spectrum of information needed by all psychologists who use the WISC-IV in clinical practice. - The Wechsler scale is the most widely used assessment of children's intelligence - Authored by assessment experts including Harcourt Assessment staff with exclusive data on the WISC-IV - Discusses interpretation of 4 index scores of WISC-IV - Examines the WISC-IV in relation to other frequently used psychological tests - Describes the importance of the WISC-IV integrated in clinical assessment - Predicts scholastic achievement based on WISC-IV subtest scores - Discusses modification of score interpretation based on culture, SES, & other contextual factors

Synopsis The Social Cognition and Object Relations Scale-Global Rating Method (SCORS-G) by : Michelle Stein
The Social Cognition and Object Relations Scale-Global Rating Method (SCORS-G) is a clinician rated measure that can be used to code various forms of narrative material. It is comprised of eight dimensions which are scored using a seven-point Likert scale, where lower scores are indicative of more pathological aspects of object representations and higher scores are suggestive of more mature and adaptive functioning. The volume is a comprehensive reference on the 1) validity and reliability of the SCORS-G rating system; 2) in depth review of the empirical literature; 3) administration and intricacies of scoring; and 4) the implications and clinical utility of the system across settings and disciplines for clinicians and researchers.
