This book is an illuminating guide on critical, sensitive and salvation-based topics that will intrigue, educate, inspire and above all promote the doctrine of salvation as the focal point of the entire Bible. The book highlights the fact that humanity's greatest need has never been the food that satiates his hunger, the building that gives him shelter, the status that makes him relevant or anything that caters to his physical needs, albeit it consists of topics that discuss humanity's daily needs and how they can be acquired in line with God's word. It adequately emphasises that the salvation of souls constitutes the greatest need and should occupy the top echelon of our priorities. The scripture says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). But what happens when the word is not correctly taught, or correctly taught but not completely broken down and hence not properly understood? This book breaks down biblical lessons in a manner that will be easily understood by readers. Many have read the Bible and taught from it wrongly because they missed the central theme of the Bible which is the salvation of our souls but the words in this book have been written to help the reader avoid reading the Bible amiss and achieve this precious and priceless gift - salvation - that will make existence in this world a meaningful one. This is the first English translation of Miftah al-falah, a thirteenth century Sufi text, written by Ibn Ata Allah, one of the great masters of the Shadhili Sufi order. It is considered to be one of his most important works because it sets out the principles of actual Sufi mystical practices, shedding light on the sacred invocations, and associated practices, such as the spiritual retreat. Written in a clear, lucid style, it offers a glimpse into the Sufi world of the 7th Islamic century and allows us to see almost at first hand how the novice was guided by the Sufi Shaykh and, above all, the purpose and preparation involved in engaging in the invocation, dhikhru'llah. Ibn Ata' Allah sets out to define it, to explain its nature and power, to show its results and to prove that it is part of the Prophet's Sunna, or practice. The author goes to great lengths to point out many Qur'anic verses where dhikru'llah is mentioned and cites many noted authorities.

The title of the book, The X-Manual, is taken from the word exousia, from the subtitle. It is the Greek word for authority. The word is used throughout the New Testament. For our purposes, it is used to express the divine authority or right to cast out demons—“I have given you authority [exousia] to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you” (Luke 10:19 NIV). Jesus gives believers authority to cast out demons. This book is about spiritual authority over evil. The X-Manual is a practical “how to” handbook for clergy and laity on deliverance and exorcism. One reason I wrote the book is because so few understand and/or operate effectively in deliverance ministry. Nowhere is the church more inadequate or excessive than in deliverance ministry. The X-Manual contains specific time-tested biblical instructions on selecting and training a deliverance team, pre-deliverance work, the deliverance session, post-deliverance work, and other useful tools like the C1-13 instrument that helps determine if one needs deliverance. Deliverance is essential to the church’s New Testament healing and evangelism ministry. It is time for the church to walk in the authority and power that Christ gave us to set the captives free!
