Synopsis The Inward Path to God by : Wayne Simsic

It’s been five hundred years since the birth of the great saint and doctor of the Church Teresa of Avila, yet her words and wisdom still have the power to leap across the barriers of time and culture. In this book, author and retreat master Wayne Simsic introduces St. Teresa's map for the journey of prayer as outlined in her masterpiece The Interior Castle. First, Simsic invites the reader to focus on two fundamental themes for Teresa: turning inward and growing in the virtues of charity, detachment, and humility, which she considered essential for prayer. Then he describes the life of prayer as it unfolds in the dwellings of the interior castle. As readers move with Teresa into the deeper dimensions of life and love, they will discover their own path of prayer.

Synopsis Gratitude by : N. S. Venkatesh

The Bhagawan Uvacha series brings to devotees the world over, a compilation of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's teachings in the form of quotations, skilfully compiled and woven together by Shri. N. S. Venkatesh, the compiler. In this book in the series, Gratitude, Shri. Venkatesh says, "Gratitude is one of the most powerful, positive forces in the real world. It lends life to existence and meaning to life. Gratitude helps us realise the beauty of relationships in society. Be it parent-child, master-disciple, husband-wife, or God-devotee. Gratitude to the Lord makes us aware of His unseen hand around us at all times. Unseen blessings are abundant in the realisation of the constant presence of the Lord. This book is about an attitude of thankfulness that can change the way we perceive relationships in our lives. It orients us into joyous living. Just listen to Bhagawan in the next few pages."

Synopsis Geeta Vahini by : Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba wrote a series of articles under the Vahini series, for Sanathana Sarathi, a monthly magazine being published by Sri Sathya Sai Sadhana Trust, Publications Division, Prasanthi Nilayam. These precious articles are brought out now, under the title “Geeta Vahini”, in this book, for the benefit of readers. This is not a commentary or summary of the divine message that was given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna. It conveys the same message in a simpler form to us, in order to remove our delusion and confer faith and strength on us, so that we may realise our own reality. Bhagawan says, “Drawing on the Divine that is inherent in us is the lesson of Geeta… Arjuna is the jiva and Krishna is the Deva. When both are in contact, impregnable might results… Krishna had to work in and through Arjuna, so that the reign of Dharma (righteousness) is re-established. Arjuna means white, pure, unblemished. Hence, he is the proper instrument.” We too can become proper instruments in restoring Dharma, if we follow the lessons that Bhagawan teaches through this book.
