Synopsis RYU SDN Framework - English Edition by : Ryu project team
This specialized book is for the Ryu development framework, which is used to achieve Software Defined Networking (SDN). Why Ryu? We hope you can find the answer in this book. We recommend that you read Chapters 1 to 5, in that order. In Chapter 1, a simple switch hub is implemented, and in later chapters, traffic monitor and link aggregation functions are added. Through actual examples, we describe programming using Ryu. Chapters 6 to 8 provide details about the OpenFlow protocol and the packet libraries that are necessary for programming using Ryu. In Chapters 9 to 11, we talk about how to use the firewall and test tool included in the Ryu package as sample applications. Chapters 12 to 14 introduce Ryu's architecture and introduction cases. Finally, we would like to say thank you to those people, in particular users, who supported the Ryu project. We are waiting for your opinions via the mailing list. Let's develop Ryu together!

Synopsis Advances on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing by : Fatos Xhafa
This book presents the latest, innovative research findings on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud, and Internet Computing. It gathers the Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing, held on November 8–10, 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. These computing technologies have rapidly established themselves as breakthrough paradigms for solving complex problems by enabling the aggregation and sharing of an increasing variety of distributed computational resources at large scale. Grid Computing originated as a paradigm for high-performance computing, offering an alternative to expensive supercomputers through different forms of large-scale distributed computing, while P2P Computing emerged as a new paradigm after client-server and web-based computing and has shown to be useful in the development of social networking, B2B (Business to Business), B2C (Business to Consumer), B2G (Business to Government), B2E (Business to Employee), and so on. Cloud Computing has been defined as a “computing paradigm where the boundaries of computing are determined by economic rationale rather than technical limits”. Cloud computing has quickly been adopted in a broad range of application domains and provides utility computing at large scale. Lastly, Internet Computing is the basis of any large-scale distributed computing paradigm; it has very rapidly developed into a flourishing field with an enormous impact on today’s information societies, serving as a universal platform comprising a large variety of computing forms such as Grid, P2P, Cloud and Mobile computing. The aim of the book “Advances on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing” is to provide the latest findings, methods and development techniques from both theoretical and practical perspectives, and to reveal synergies between these large-scale computing paradigms.

Synopsis Cloud Networking for Big Data by : Deze Zeng
This book introduces two basic big data processing paradigms for batch data and streaming data. Representative programming frameworks are also presented, as well as software defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) technologies as key cloud networking technologies. The authors illustrate that SDN and NFV can be applied to benefit the big data processing by proposing a cloud networking framework. Based on the framework, two case studies examine how to improve the cost efficiency of big data processing. Cloud Networking for Big Data targets professionals and researchers working in big data, networks, wireless communications and information technology. Advanced-level students studying computer science and electrical engineering will also find this book valuable as a study guide.
