Synopsis Robot Design Handbook, Robocon Malaysia, 2019 by : Nik Nur Wahidah Nik Hashim
This book compiles technical design notes from the teams that have participated in ROBOCON Malaysia 2019. Every chapter details how the team design their robots to achieve the mission specified in ROBOCON Malaysia 2019 rules. Every report consists of three sub-topics: mechanical design, electronics circuit design and programming. The reports presented in this collection are written in English. The purpose of this book is to share and pass on the valuable knowledge of engineering and robotics to other robotic enthusiasts especially in Malaysia. This book would be the first in the series to set the trend of knowledge sharing from the ROBOCON Malaysia. We hope this book series would be a reference for future robotics competition and robotics enthusiasts with the aim of being able to develop more advance robotics system by learning from the experiences of others.

Synopsis Humanising Education: The Bosnian Experiences in Malaysia by : Siti Aishah Ibrahim Spahic
This publication chronicles individual experiences of some of the many successful Bosnian IIUM alumni whose engagement in social, economic, and political existence of Bosnia and Herzegovina has irrevocably demonstrates the essence and core values needed to shape the country anew. When it comes to envisioning the best needed transformational effects and impacts of education in transforming a given country or a society, the long-term vision and foresight of the Malaysian political leadership then is thus correctly justified when the decision to facilitate the enrolments of our Bosnian brothers and sisters was made. This move has simultaneously forged deep and lasting constructive ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Malaysia.

Synopsis MEDIA & MUSLIM SOCIETY by : MOHD. YUSOF HUSSAIN
The book contains twelve essays on topics related to the subject “Media and Muslim Society.” It is compiled as a textbook for students taking the course of the same title at the International Islamic Universiti Malaysia. Thus, the topics selected are those covered in the course. The topics include media at various stages in the development of a Muslim society, the role of communication in a Muslim society, media control, media effects on Muslim society and the roles of ulamas in influencing the media. A special topic on Muslim society is also included at the beginning of the book. The contributors of these essays are experts in their field. They have also helped developed and taught the course. In this first edition, most of the examples and discussions are based on two Muslim societies, i.e., Peninsular Malaysia and Indonesia. This is understandable because most of the writers in this first edition are from the Malay world. We hope to include examples from other Muslim societies in the next edition when we get contribution from writers from other parts of the Muslim world. Finally, we welcome criticisms and suggestions to improve this book from our readers. We shall certainly consider these criticisms and suggestions in the next edition

Synopsis WOMEN IN THE HOUSE : LEADERSHIP IN THE MALAYSIAN PARLIAMENT by : Ummu Atiyah Ahmad Zakuan
This book examines the representation of women in the Malaysian Parliament with a focus on the substantive representation of women in the 10th and 11th Dewan Rakyat, the lower house of the Malaysian Parliament. It aims, in particular, to see whether or not female MPs acted for women by proposing women-related issues in the Dewan Rakyat, the female MPs in the forefront of representing women are called critical actors. An in depth look at who these representative is and what were the issues they proposed has been carried out through content analysis of the parliamentary debates. A series of face-to-face interviews was conducted with these critical actors to examine what made them critical actors; considering the factors motivating them to represent women and address the problems women face. All of these components offer important insight to explore and understand the substantive representation of women in the Malaysian Parliament. Experience and gender awareness were found to be the major factors that contributed to their effective representation of women in the Parliament. Additionally, information and networking appeared to be crucial in facilitating this process. This book is suitable for both academic and public reading. Synopsis Robotics and Automation Handbook by : Thomas R. Kurfess
As the capability and utility of robots has increased dramatically with new technology, robotic systems can perform tasks that are physically dangerous for humans, repetitive in nature, or require increased accuracy, precision, and sterile conditions to radically minimize human error. The Robotics and Automation Handbook addresses the major aspects of designing, fabricating, and enabling robotic systems and their various applications. It presents kinetic and dynamic methods for analyzing robotic systems, considering factors such as force and torque. From these analyses, the book develops several controls approaches, including servo actuation, hybrid control, and trajectory planning. Design aspects include determining specifications for a robot, determining its configuration, and utilizing sensors and actuators. The featured applications focus on how the specific difficulties are overcome in the development of the robotic system. With the ability to increase human safety and precision in applications ranging from handling hazardous materials and exploring extreme environments to manufacturing and medicine, the uses for robots are growing steadily. The Robotics and Automation Handbook provides a solid foundation for engineers and scientists interested in designing, fabricating, or utilizing robotic systems.

Synopsis Spirituality and Sustainability by : Satinder Dhiman
This book aims to examine sustainability and spirituality philosophically with ethics as the balancing force. The goal is to reveal the important intersection between sustainability and spirituality by using spirituality as the invisible guiding hand in the quest for sustainability. The editors and contributors examine old social and economics dilemmas from a new perspective in order to provide alternative approaches to economic and social development. The enclosed contributions cover a broad range of topics such as sustainable development and human happiness, contemporary spirituality, environmental ethics and responsibility, and corporate social responsibility. In addition, the title features real-world case studies and discussion questions that inspire self-reflection and theoretical and empirical deliberation in academic courses and business seminars. Contemporary approaches to economic and social development have failed to address humankind's abiding need for spiritual growth. For material development to be sustainable, spiritual advancement must be seen as an integral part of the human development algorithm. While the policy makers and governments can play their respective role, each one of us has to consciously adopt spirituality and sustainability as a way of life. This book will rely on the spiritual power of individuals to heal themselves and the environment. Featuring interdisciplinary perspectives in areas such as science, marine biology, environmental policy, cultural studies, psychology, philosophy, ecological economics, and ethics, this book will provide extensive insights into the complimentary fields of spirituality, sustainability and ethics.
