Synopsis The Final Word by : Steve Wilmshurst
The book of Revelation was written for a people under pressure - a people who knew all too clearly that the world was against them. Nearly all the church leaders had been martyred. What was needed was a survival manual, explaining how to survive when the world is against you; here it is! We, too, need to know how to survive in a hostile world. Revelation is for ordinary believers, not to fight over, but to enable us to keep fighting the real fight. Although the gospel had spread throughout the Roman Empire, it had not taken it over. Persecution was looming and the law was against them. It is in that context of suffering and oppression that the Lord gives John the series of visions which he writes down in the form of this book. It is a survival manual, explaining how to survive when the world is against you. Even though it is a little harder for us to see, this is what we need to know in our day as well. We in the West are not yet being openly persecuted, but at least in the UK that is the direction we are heading. In any case, the world is against us and we have to know how to survive as believers on increasingly hostile ground. This is why Revelation is so vitally relevant for our day. The basic message can be summed up simply and wonderfully: Jesus wins, and as Christians we are safe with him!

Within the last decade, the world has seen a rise in earthquakes, violent storms, hurricanes, and weird weather patterns, and all seem to get worse as each year goes by. We see monetary problems all around the world. We have seen wars and heard rumors of war. Drought and famine have been present in the world or the struggle of power within some nations. Synopsis Simply Revelation by : T. R. Estep
Book of Revelation: Commentary Study Guide This study guide is designed for personal and small group studies for the book of Revelation. Easy to follow interpretation helps guide the reader through the complex passages of the final chapter of the bible. Out of the vast stream of biblical interpretation, perhaps the largest tributary consists of commentaries upon the book of Revelation. Spanning centuries, some of the best minds and most devoted men and women have graced us with their works. The spiritual attack upon the future world has never been fully addressed in chronological detail due to a misinterpretation of certain chapters and passages. Nor has symbolism of certain words and expressions amply made sense, until now. "Simply Revelation" is an aspired work providing the reader elementary, yet pertinent answers in each chapter that God has conveyed. Propel your mind and soul into a new perception of prophecy, enhancing your faith toward an intimate relationship with God. "I find fascinating the simple message within the complex passages of the Bible. The symbolic idioms in Revelation are used and interpreted with the same figurative definition throughout the entire Bible." The author adds, "Revelation is a symphony with a progressive, crescendo message of God's covenant for mankind." T. R. Estep's desire to become intimate with God has led him to over 30 years of study. He has shared his findings by serving in teaching ministries at various churches.

Synopsis Fresh Ideas for Revelation by : Timothy A. Rogers
Fresh Ideas for Revelation: From Genesis to the End presents the reader with a new and fascinating perspective for the much-analyzed biblical text--Revelation. In these pages, you will be taken on a tour of the tabernacle that was constructed according to instructions passed down from God to Moses, as well as journeying through the prophecies recorded in Daniel, both of which will serve as a blueprint for unraveling the prophecies of Revelation. Timothy A. Rogers, through study, prayer, and meditation, has delivered an interpretation of Revelation through the lens of typology, offering a spiritual reflection of worldly events where time is not linear, and the Word of God has space to interpret itself. This book is an offering of the eternalist view of Revelation, a significant shift in understanding, rich with new ideas that affirm the Bible as divinely inspired by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The reader will travel deep into the Old and the New Testament to gain a more meaningful understanding of prophecy and the role of the Holy Spirit, as well as confronting a new definition of what it means to be part of the body of Christ.
